Was a little concerned about some of the negative reviews, so I asked about the negative reviews when we arrived, and as in all jobs sometimes someone wasn't suited for the job they were doing, that person does not do the tours any longer. Sad they will have to suffer from the tour guides negative reviews for awhile . Are guide did an excellent job and was an awesome tour. Take a chance on this tour you will be glad you did.

A friend and I decided to do a "staycation" in Indy and started it with this tour. It was great. Driver, Tim, was wonderful and had us laughing as we saw and learned so much about our hometown. I plan to do this with visitors so they can see Indy like this. It allowed us to discover aspects of Indy we hadn;t known and to choose where we wanted to go next.
Whether you"re a first time visitor or a local, you should take this tour!

We wanted to take a carriage ride but the weather did not cooperate, so we decided to try the trolley tour. Our driver was fantastic, got to know each of us and where we were from, incorporating our hometowns into the tour. Lots of interesting tidbits.
We stopped and the Indy Speedway, but it wasn't much to see. I was able to get some pictures as we drove around but it wasn't easy. Great way to see a lot of the city.

We booked the tour with hopes of learning about the culture and history of Indianapolis. With the old buildings and famous sites we thought this would be informative. However this is NOT at all what the tour provided. Our tour guide avoided answering any "historical" questions and instead, informed us of every restaurant in the area. Would not recommend this tour to anyone... save your money, Google local area attractions and ask locals about museums, city culture, and must see's in the city!

We love using the trolleys, no matter what state you are in. I highly recommend using the trolley to peruse through the town. If you are a traveler and not sure of what you are doing, check out the guided trolley tours.

I am in Indianapolis this weekend visiting a friend and needed some time kill while she was at work. I found this tour while searching for things to do and decided to give it a try.
I just got off the noon tour and let me tell you..... It was great! It was exciting, entertaining and informative.
Plus, the driver (who was also our tour guide) was super nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

I took this trolley tour when I first arrived in Indy. The trolley was clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice. The tour took us to so many points of interest that I wasn't aware that Indy had. The trolley driver was also the guide. She talked about the history of the city and what is going on at the present time...ie. Things to do, good restaurants etc.
The price of $20 was well worth it! Go on this trolley tour - YOU WILL LOVE IT,

This guy does it all !! He owns the trolley, drives it and gives a very entertaining tour !
It’s a nice way to get the highlights of the city
He had lots of trivia to share with us
Quick 20 minute stop at the speedway museum was just enough time to see some incredible cars
After the tour he was heading to Shapiros deli ( don’t miss it) and offered any of us to ride along. My friend and I took him up on it and had the best Reuben!!

Anytime, I venture to a new city, I like to see if they offer city tours. I was glad that Indy offered them. Our tour guide, Tim, we very knowledgeable, friendly and a safe driver. We saw just about every monument, statue, museum and must-see place within the city. The highlight was stopping at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.

Is the tour a step on and off tour for certain sights ? Cost ? Runs every day? Time?
Written July 2, 2016
Not on/off. I think it doesn't run on Mon. Check their website for times. I know for weekend and maybe Fri., you have to make reservations. Google Indy Fun Trolley.
Written July 2, 2016
Yes, the trolley is very comfortable with park bench like seating. The temperature is regulated comfortably, too. There is one stop to stretch your legs, but you don't have to depart. One would have to be able to board the trolley going up a few steps at street curb level. We took my 85+ year old, life long Indianapolis residents, in-laws on the tour and they loved it.

We will be visiting Indianapolis on Saturday, May 14th. Can we buy tickets for the trolley tour there, or do we have to buy them online ? Also, where is a good place to park in the area ?
Thank you in advance.
Written April 27, 2016
We purchased our tickets in person but I know others did online. Be sure that you confirm your reservation by calling ahead. Their reservation system needs a lot of improvement.

If you call the trolley company they are super helpful at giving directions!
