Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre has been serving up food, fun and fabulous...

Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre has been serving up food, fun and fabulous live entertainment for everyone since 1973. Located in College Park, the theatre was part of a chain of dinner theatres built by Louisville contractor J. Scott Talbott. It was called "Beef" because of the delicious hand carved roast beef served before the performances, and "Boards" referring to the boards or stage of a theatre. Today, the Indianapolis location is privately owned and the sole remaining Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, entertaining more than 150,000 theatergoers annually. Each season includes professional Broadway shows, plays and acclaimed children's theatre productions by our resident Pyramid Players. But a visit to Beef & Boards is more than just great theatre! We offer a tasty dinner buffet prepared by our in-house executive chef, plus a full-service bar and mouthwatering gourmet desserts. Be sure to stop by the Intermission gift shop for unique gift ideas, and ask about seeing more shows for less through our VIP membership program. Come see why each year more and more people discover the value and quality of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre! Beef & Boards is a member of Actors' Equity Association, the only union for professional actors in legitimate theatre.

We saw a production of "Church Basement Ladies". A very strong cast for a very weak story. The food was okay... old fashioned dinner theater fare, but as one of the youngest in the audience (in my mid 40's) I'm sure any menu more contemporary than 1983 would scare off the regulars. I've seen bigger shows here ("Cats" Believe it... More

We saw the Church Basement Ladies and it was hilarious! The performers have always been very talented when we have visited Beef and Boards. My only complaint is that there isn't enough room between the tables. Every time I have been there, I have had someone behind me that refuses to pull their chair in and I am always shoved... More

We have been VIP members (meaning you pay an upfront price for buy one get one free tickets for up to 7 times throughout the season) for many many years. We began the tradition as a young couple, continued the tradition through the years of having young children, ensuring that we would at least get 7 nights a year away... More

I was looking for something different for date night so we tried this, but it is very expensive. The food quality is extremely lacking similar to a Ponderosa or Ryan's.

Third time I've visited the venue and again it didn't disappoint. Buffet had good choices including meat and fish options (not sure what veggie option was). Desserts can be ordered at an extra cost - we ordered ours to be served during the interval. Soft drinks (lemonade, iced tea and coffee) are complimentary and others drinks are available at an... Saw "Run for your wife". Very funny (I'd give it 4 stars) but the best part was the ambiance and food. It was quite pricey but I'd definitely do it again!!!

Our entire experience at Beef and Boards was very positive. The food was above average, the service by Ben was outstanding, and the performance by the Pyramid Players was super. The very talented performers made our day !!! Awesome is another review word that comes to mind !!

We have been very members of beef and boards for over 30 years. The show beauty and the beast was one f the best they have ever put on. The acting , voices were great. We saw the same show on Broadway and the only difference was the social effects when the beast changes back into the prince

This was most of my family's first visit to Beef & Boards, and we loved it! The food was good and plentiful, and the musical was superb. The actors and singers did a marvelous, and very professional, job! It's a nice size for the dinner theatre, and there are very few seats that would not be good seats. Loved where... More
