We pulled in for the Indy Irish Fest weekend and stayed across the street. This is a pretty park in downtown Indy. I’d imagine they have lots of concerts and festivals here. I liked the walk along the canal. Lots of paddle boats, kayaks, ducks, joggers and strollers. Nice pleasant place.

I visited Indy for work and this was on my to do list for the weekend. I hired a bicycle and went along the river and central canal to Broad Ripple. Then back along Monon trail. Nice setting with most of the trail completely off road and flat. Easy to do 40-50Ks on a rented bike if you're used to... More

I loved this place. I really like walking and this was a great place. very safe feeling and there was a trail that followed the river that I took and did not finish it because I was not sure where it went. Good place for letting the kids run.

Wide open space. Water near by. Sculptures. Peaceful. Runners and cyclists. Yoga on the grass. Soothing after being downtown. Enjoyed the walk.

If you love an outdoor concert - but - Conner Prairie type venue is just too big - try out White River State Park in the summer. Multiple concerts. Nationally recognized talent. Great sound system. You don't even have to bring your own lawn chairs - they provide them - free!

Camp site great. The man at the trout dock told my friend and I he was out of canoes and boats for Sunday. He only had single kiaks, $130 for rental and pick up. We asked him if anyone else had canoe rentals, he stated no and also said no one else would bring camper back to that location. We... More

We went here to see the concert on a rainy day!! They did a great job of making the venue ready after a rain delay. Planning on returning to actually go through the park as what we were able to see looked really cool as well.

We went to see a concert. Very nice place. You didn't have to bring chairs, they had them for you if you were in the lawn seats. We got right inside the lawn area. Excellent seats. One bad thing, while we were in line it was pouring rain, I had to go to bathroom and went to one of the... More

This state park is very nice. Very clean and well maintained. Walk along the river of follow the canal into downtown Indianapolis, it is a nice peaceful time. There is plenty to do, lots of green space to run, rent a bicycle, a paddle boat, or a Segway. There is something for everyone. I definitely recommend visiting.
