On a whim we decided to drive over to Indianapolis to visit White River Park/River Walk on a sunny day in May. I'm sure glad we did! The park is centrally located in downtown Indianapolis and follows the canal path along the White River. We rented a bicycle canopy cart which allowed us to bring our small cooler and kept... More

The Park is just a short walk from most downtown hotels. There are a couple of interesting museums within or just on the edge of the park as well as the Indianapolis Zoo. We skipped the zoo but found the Indiana State Museum very interesting. There are also interesting art with the park. We rented a 4-seater bicycle and explored... More

This place is truly a place to see if visiting the city. There are bikes of all kinds to rent a canal to walk or jog by and lots of green area to picnic or just let the kids run and play. Well landscaped and very clean. The Zoo is close and so is the ball field and concerts both... More

This seems to be an underused area by the city. The landscaping is beautiful. It provides a great peaceful place to walk. We also rented paddle boats and were able to go the entire length and back within an hour's time. You get a great view of the city from the canal. There were lots of bikers and families on... More

Nice walk along the riverfront. There were segway tours and paddle boats you could rent. There was also an excellent view of the skyline from the far end of the bridge over the river.

Whenever I get the chance to come up from Bloomington, I always try to go to the park. It's probably my favorite spot in town. I love the canal set up, and riding the little go-karts and surreys and the like. Last Saint Patrick's Day, I had a day off from work, took the shuttle up, and just hung out... More

Fabulous, clean park. Right next to the zoo, great place to park for an event at the park. The only negative is the prices for food and the reserve seats for a concert are so low to the ground, some people had a hard time getting up! Staff at the park- very nice!
