Time of year
Beuatiful gardens that kids and adults will enjoy. This is out favorite part of the zoo. We come here several times a year.
I enjoyed the hardscaping of the garden but they are a little small for my taste. I also visited the Zoo and there was a substantial fee for parking and an entry fee. I would have appreciated more gardens to visit.
Our group visited the White River Gardens and Butterfly Garden close to the Indianapolis Zoo. The gardens are beautiful and offer a variety of garden styles and plants to enjoy. The butterfly garden is not large, but there was a good variety of butterflies in abundant numbers.…
Summer in Indiana is hot and the park is a great place to wander. It does need more shade however as all of the benches are in the sun.
After our visit to the zoo we stopped by the gardens. Admission is free with zoo visit. The kids loved looking at the butterflies. It is not a huge building but worth the stop.
