Nice park with great golf course stayed in the hotel. Convenient to on and off of i70. Would definitely recommend this for a stop while in Indy.

Fort Harrison is a beautiful park, tucked in Indianapolis. We took our daughter to ride ponies at the Saddle Barn and it was only 3.00 for little ones! They have big horses for older kids and adults too and you can ride for very reasonable prices.

Ft. Ben is a great spot to escape into nature and enjoy some time outside. There are many trails for walking, hiking, biking and a pond for fishing. There are some playgrounds and shelters as well. The trails vary in difficulty and length and some are paved. The hills make for great sledding in the winter and they also have... More

One of my favorite places to walk with a good variety of trails. Easy to moderate, short to long, relaxing as well as more strenuous.

Pleasantly surprised it would offer this much. Lots of different trails, some hills to climb. Had dogs with us, so good for walking them, too. Nice picnic area near entrance. Plenty of parking, a little museum there that's a good way to cool down. Historical information, great teaching experience for children.

Ft Harrison State Park is a great place for family activities and solo. The hiking trails are not terribly challenging but you can work up a good sweat on them or there is a paved trail for bikers and walkers. Also fishing with a valid state license and horseback riding as well. In the winter you can bring your sled... More

Our family comes here often. This particular visit was just me. I came on the Mt. Bike to explore some of the trails. I also got some geocaching in as well. The park is nice and big with tons of trails. I was able to explore for several hours. At certain points, the trails aren't very wide and bikers need... More

This is a small but enjoyable state park. You can easily park your car and walk around the park or you can drive to each area you want to visit. Really nice scenery. Wide variety of things to do including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, archery, sledding hill and much more. Take the kids and enjoy a day outdoors.

Awesome place to visit, travel through. Remind me of my Army days of service. The entire complex is a "walk down memory lane" Enjoy

I love coming to Fort Harrison State Park. I have visited many times over the last 15 years and go on a daily basis. It's best to go when it's not super crowded (weekends in the summer). There are great trails available and they can be combined for longer hikes. You have the river and streams going through the park... More
