Sit in the old bar to get a feel for what it would have been like! Great stop for a cold beer and an appetizer. Parking across the street is cheap and easy access to the rest of downtown. Would come back for dinner and to hear the blues! Lots of good bands listed.

This is the place to check out if you love live Blues music. I was there on a night where they were very busy. Service was pretty slow and it was apparent they were not prepared for that many patrons on a Wednesday night. This was an experience to be had by all at least once if you ever find... More

Great staff and drinks! A busy place for a Sunday night with an awesome band that played everything from Eric Clapton to the Eagles! Highly recommend. Who could pass up the name Slippery Noodle!?

We went to the Slippery Noodle based on another Trip Advisor member's recommendation. so glad that we checked Trip Advisor. We went on a Friday night. They had two great Blues bands! We were so impressed! The Slippery Noodle has a lot of history. It's Indiana's oldest bar, built in 1850.

Found this pub by chance but couldn't walk past a place called the 'Slippery Noodle' without going in even if it was 11am! Went back that night for live music and good food. I recommend a visit.

Great location, great seating, good food. Nice historic pub...music...divided rooms...outdoor seating...parking...but WORST WAITRESS EVER. We were in no hurry thankfully and it wasnt busy...15 minutes to be even acknowledged...(probably should have left at that point)...ordered drinks and after arrived...then another 15 to place order...we got an app and after waiting for place settings without success went and got our own...after... We stopped in late on a Saturday night while traveling through Indy and checked this place out. Nachos were good although not great. Blues band playing was very good. Interesting mix of people, would definitely return.

After about 18 years, I was finally back in Indianapolis for one night and I went straight from the airport to the Slippery Noodle Inn. Did not know what band played, but it did not matter. It was the same great atmosphere, a band that really knew how to play blues, and some great chilly on noodles. What a great... More

I went their with business associates following a daylong meeting. Pretty earthy interior. Great pub grub. Then the live entertainment started. Excellent local blues band. Great interaction with band and staff. I was so impressed I closed the joint and had the best time. I will definitely go out of my way to visit as often as I can.
