One thing different about Holliday Park is the friendliness of the people there. The ruins make it really interesting and all the gardens are great. It's a photographers delight. We try to get 10,000 steps in a day. We did it here without it seeming...More

The playground was brilliant - perfect for kids of all ages. Lovely walks through the woods. The nature centre had lots of activites for children to do with plenty of information on hand for the grown ups.

Holliday Park was once the summer home for the publisher of the Indianapolis newspaper. It has rolling hills and a ravine leading to the river. The trails are just perfect, and in the fall, you can fool yourself into thinking you're in Brown County. There...More

Beautiful forest-like park in the middle of suburban Indianapolis. Perfect for a hike. Wooden walkways and stairs take you from the top of the canopy to a tranquil river below

Great way to get a little walk in, see a little nature center and a huge playground. It is free to the public so with very young children it can be nerve racking as this playground draws in the families.

Whether adult or kid oriented outing, this park rocks. The nature center and a small well tended native plant garden are wheelchair/stroller accessible. Awesome playground area with plenty of shaded picnic tables. Further on the hiking trails have wood stairways, with landings for gazing and...More

This is a hidden gem park in Indianapolis. It has paths for bikes, picnic areas, and is lush with shade. Our favorite area was a play area for children with a huge climbing device that looks like a spiderweb. It is made of poles and...More

Yes, many around the park, across from the park, many shaded areas there and around the nature center. My family and I have spent many glorious days having picnics and hiking adventures there.
