We went here for a girl's art weekend while in Indy & had fun being creative. They gladly arranged to ship our glass pendants to us for a small fee upon completion, since we lived out of state. The pendants were well packaged & arrived within 2 weeks. Great fun for any age & good for a group activity.

We spent a Saturday afternoon indulging our creativity with pottery painting. We picked our pieces, painted them to our heart's content and left them to be glazed. We picked up the finished pieces a week later. The studio fee is $8 or $6 for adult and child respectively. However, there are discounts on coupons4indy.com for the studio fees. They also have specials for children, ladies etc on week-day evenings. Avoid weekends or holidays if possible, as it gets busy - we had to wait and take turns for some of the colors we wanted to paint with, or found that it had been used up. The pottery pieces range from $4 to more ( a large plate was around $20) and one could do as many as they want during one studio session ( provided each piece is bought). All other painting materials are provided. Remember that even the non artisitc creations look better after being glazed! They also have glass fusing and mosaics to create with- which we did not try. Overall- a worth place to go. We had fun on a wintry weekend. BTW- there are quite a few paint-a-pottery places in Indy and Carmel- so feel free to explore around.

I took my two nieces to Half-Baked Pottery. One is age 8 and the other is age 12. They loved the experience. You walk in, pick the piece of pottery you wish to paint, gather the paint, and paint. The young employee who helped us was very nice. She assigned us to a table and checked on us frequently. One niece painted a dog bowl and the other painted a piggy bank. We don't live in the area, so we had both pieces of pottery shipped to us for 12.00 total. The pieces arrived in about two weeks. The items were packaged very carefully. The bank was around 30.00 and the dog bowl was around 27.50. It took about 1.5 hours for both girls to paint their pottery. We plan on returning to paint more pottery in the future.

My teen daughter and I made pieces together and still treasure the experience and our work product. It's perfect for younger children as well. They make it easy to choose an age appropriate piece. They were extremely kind to us and very helpful, offering tips to ensure success. I'm not "artsy" but my pottery turned out amazing! They are very patient and did not rush us. We had our own table in a room for just us. We had so much fun. It would be great for a small group of children as well. They fire the items and then you pick up a day or two later.

Lots of fun. Staff was great. We all had a great time. They also have fused glass projects. We'll do that next time.

Needed something to entertain myself while my friends were at a different event in the afternoon. Staff was super friendly and helpful, prices were good, wonderful atmosphere, and very clean. Being an out-of-towner, they even offered to send my pottery to me! Loved the experience. If I'm ever in town again, I'll be back for sure!

We were so pleased with the staff at this paint your own pottery studio. The employees were so helpful in explaining the painting process and even entertained my children by showin gthem the glazing and firing part of the process while I put finishing touches on my work. We have already booked my daughter's birthday party there and plan to return to make handprint Christmas presents for the family! Can't wait!

We decided to do something different for valentine's day this year. This place is charming. They greeted us as we walked in the door, as if they were expecting us. The gentleman showed us around and explain step by step what is involved in the making of our pottery painting. My fiancé and I spent about an hour ish selecting the pottery, the paints and completing our project. Once we were done, they keep the pottery to bake the paint and glase it for us. Once this process is done they ship it to the customer in about a week. They also give a 10% to military which we thought was awesome since we both are in the service. A must do, you will love the memory.
