The Canal was my favorite place for my morning run. The water makes it cool and refreshing, with some company. A concrete man-made area with cool flowing water in the middle, great for long walks and running. It also has areas where you can rent paddle boats or gandolas.

Decided to walk around downton=wn near Whitewater Park. Saw the pedal boats and decided to try them, glad we did saw several nice places from a unique point of view. It was fun and relaxing and even got a little exercise and enjoyed every minute of it.

Made several trips to the canal during our visit to Indy. Perfect for biking. Came back later to do paddle boats and kayak. There was a free concert on Thursday evening! Just a lovely, well-used location; great for everyone.

This is a nice place to walk, ride a bike or just relax. You can spend as much time as you want here. Drinks, Ice cream and a couple of places to eat are available. There's also a gondola ride available but it's a little pricey. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it felt quite safe.

You would never know that this canal walk and area are in the middle of downtown Indy. This is a great place to run or just simply enjoy the walk and sites to see. We come down here quite often and the greening of the canal is a must St. Patty's day tradition. On this particular occasion, the son and... More

We walked a little down the canal to explore the area and loved it! I would love to live there and look out to see that view everyday and just relax on my patio looking over it.

We stayed at a hotel along the canal and could walk along the canal to get the convention center and other attractions we were interested in. We had not known about the canal before this trip and were pleasantly surprised by how nice it is. We found some nice memorials along the way, too, such as the USS Indianapolis Memorial... More

As a runner, it's always nice to have a scenic route free from traffic that provides a nice place to run. It doesn't provide a very long distance to run, but it appears to link up wiith the White River trail that should provide miles of off-street running. I didn't get to enjoy any of the restaurants or cafés along... More

I visit the Central Canal area during nice weather. Great place to jog, walk, run. A couple of eating places exist along the route.

We love the canal and often go there to just walk, people watch, relax, and have a cool drink or snack. The water is clean, the canal has twists and turns, and there are many opportunities to sit and enjoy the ambiance. There is a quirky little fountain that is a delightful surprise for the walker of cyclist. A bridge... More
