Went on a nice winter day and very much enjoyed the walk. It's a longer canal that I expected and it had several sculptures nearby. It is surrounded by several museums nearby. I highly recommend!

Very walkable in a few hours. Several museums and the NCAA complex on canal. Nice walk to the zoo. Didn't know about the canal till searching for hotels and found the Residence Inn right on the canal. Pleasant walk even in January. Many residences and some medical facilities. Artwork under bridges.

The canal is Indy's ultimate hidden gem. When i have clients that i know are runners, i suggest the hotels along the canal. The runner can do a 2 mile circuit without meeting a car or stoplight.

I spent the afternoon walking around Indianapolis and walking the Central Canal was my favorite part. It was such a pleasant walk. You get some great views of the city and it’s very scenic and peaceful. There are also many museums right of the canal. Definitely worth checking out while visiting the city.

Great place to take a leisurely walk in a beautiful setting! It's about a 3 mile round trip walk, with plenty of scenery. Check it out!
