Honoring our heroes

This well-done memorial honors those who have been awarded medals of honor for their service. It is well organized, moving and beautifully set along the canal.

A nice memorial, however names are difficult to read. If you didn't know to look for this place you might miss it. An interactive phone app to look up names and read their story would be nice.

Nice treat to pay tribute to these heroes. Came during the day but heard it is beautiful at night. Small exhibit but worth a look

Whilst walking through the canal walkway, we came across this. It always nice to see tributes to fallen heroes. The area is nice and clean and well decorated.

This is one memorial that I mistook for a sculpture-period. It is placed along the canal and is a wonderful way to honor those who gave their lives for our freedom.

This is a beautiful tribute on the Canal right off of Military Park and across from the Indiana State Museum. The location is convenient. It is maintained well. It is free and should be visited by everyone who is in the area.

This is a very simple memorial over looking the beautiful canal. It is awesome that they have a place to honor our soldiers from wars long ago and current wars.

I was there on a rainy day which may have flavored my impression of this memorial, but I think it would be lacking on a sunny day as well. The names on the glass walls are difficult to read. There is not detailed explanation of what the memorial is and who all the people are. I suppose if you or... More

This place is unique, both in the way it is structured and it sits on the edge of the canal. When I first visited it about one year after it opened,my daughter and I were fortunate enough to meet Sammy Davis, who won the Medal of Honor in Viet Nam.
