This course is enjoyable for most all levels of play. There are some very challenging holes and some easier. The course was in excellent shape and very enjoyable to play. The pro shop staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will certainly play again when passing through Indy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our rounds of golf at The Fort. We ended up playing the nines separately two days in a row after the heavy downpour cancelled out our back nine the first day. The back nine was cart path only, but it wasn't too much of a challenge to do that. The course is beautiful and well maintained. We... More

The course is located within the Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park. The Fort Benjamin Harrison Military Reservation closed in 1991 through the Base Realignment and Closure process. This resulted in the U.S. Department of the Interior (1995) approving the State of Indiana’s request to convert 1700 of the 2500-acre post into a state park and nature preserve. The decision led... We were 1/2 hour late teeing off, cart path only, over 5 hour round. For the price of this course it was in very poor shape. Also the people who work there are not friendly, especially a Cart Boy was very rude. Not a good experience with the course, will never go back!! There are too many nice course to... More

We are sorry to read that you had a poor experience at The Fort. Early May was a difficult time for us as due to weather conditions we were forced to keep the carts off the paths. Certainly not our preference. I am particularly concerned about the late tee time. We rarely run late, as those groups who have missed... More

I am part of a group of eight friends that love playing the Fort. We travel to Lawrence (NE Indianapolis) once a year with the purpose of staying at the Fort Harrison Inn and playing The Fort course. This was year four and we already have plans laid for a return visit in 2016. The course is located land that... More

Well maintained course and mature trees make this a very enjoyable course. There are some fun holes over large valleys that will challenge most golfers. The clubhouse is comfortable with a nice restaurant

Second time playing here and we played it in the rain. I really enjoy this course. Most beautiful spot in Indianapolis area in my opinion. Very tough but fair in its playability and always in pretty darn good shape. I love the old clubhouse.

Keep your ball flying straight and play the fairways and you will find the course very fair. Stray too far right or left and you will have challenges contributing to your score. For central Indiana, the course is very rolly, plenty of ups and downs, shots across valleys, mixture of large and medium greens. Greens do putt true, allowing you... More

I had the opportunity to play "The Fort" recently and found it to be tough but enjoyable. I hadn't played there since Pete Dye and Tim Liddy redesigned the course in 1998. I'm very familiar with Pete Dye and his unique style. You can see glimpses of this everywhere on the course. Most of the greens are elevated and well... More

The greens are marked up like crazy from ball marks and lack of fixed ones but the design is incredible. A very fair yet challenging course with some incredibly scenic holes that leave you wondering how in the world you are just outside the downtown area. I wouldn't hesitate to play here again.
