Tanto en auto como caminando es una visita obligada si se dispone de tiempo. Arriba la vista de la ciudad es increíble y hacia el norte la panorámica de la estepa: imponentemente hermosa. Para caminar el lugar está muy bueno.

Es un momumento digno de visitar, esta en la barda de Villa Regina Rio Negro, la vista desde alli es espectacular se ve todo el valle. El Indio comahue mide mas de 20 metros.
Si pasan por Villa Regina ruta 22, descansen un rato y visiten el Indio.

Subí para ver de cerca el Indio Comahue, estuvo bueno, mucho las alturas no me gustan y me mareo, pero lo vi de cerca.

Es la vista más linda de la ciudad. No sólo el monumento es hermoso, sino además, se puede ver toda la ciudad desde allí. Precaución: no ir de noche

no es feo pero no es un plan de turismo averntura tampoco, recuerdo cuando era chica si me llamaba mucho la atencion cuando pasabamos por ahi, mas como juego de encontrarlo.

Si estas de paso por el Alto Valle de Río Negro, y específicamente en Villa Regina, es recomendable que visites el Monumento al Indio Comahue. Está en la barda, próxima a la ciudad, pudiendo subir por 2 subidas, una que inicia atras de la vieja estación de trenes y otra a unos 600 metros al lado del cementerio. El lugar es ideal como punto panorámico, pudiéndose ver toda la ciudad y chacras. A unos 30 metros del Incio, está la Capilita también, y un sendero que baja hasta el espacio verde que hay abajo.

Subir hasta los bordes de la meseta donde está enclavada la escultura en homenaje a los pueblos originarios de la región denominada Comahue es un paseo muy grato. No sólo por cómo se va viendo el conjunto del valle a distancia sino por los perfumes de la vegetación clásica de la meseta patagónica. Es un disfrute múltiple de los sentidos. Una vez en la cima las quebradas y senderitos invitan a grandes y chicos a explorar la zona. Si es un día de sol y de cielo azul el placer es completo.

Además de la estatua, que es imponente y que está ubicada en lo alto desde donde los antiguos pobladores observaban el Valle, se pueden obtener muy lindas imágenes de la ciuadad.
