This is by far my favorite place in Franklin. It's like a step back in time. Everyone is super nice. Family friendly. A truly wonderful family experience in entertainment. Prices are so much cheaper then other theaters.

You are in for a real treat! Let me start with the building itself. This historic theater is in the late stages of being completely restored to it's original grandeur. The marquee is ablaze with thousands of lights and tons of neon. After you purchase your ticket (which is crazy cheap, by the way: $5 adults, $3 Seniors and Kids... More

Built in 1922 as a silent movie theater and Vaudeville house, the Art craft Theatre was built complete with an orchestra pit and full stage with dressing rooms below(theater seats approx 600 people) . Since then it has been reconditioned with each passing decade. The Theater is once again under construction to restore it to its near original look from... More

Fun to experience an "old time movie" in renovated historical venue. Felt like the movie house of my teenage self.

I had the pleasure of coming to this quaint town on business. I love how they are revitalizing the old downtown. Trying to get aquatinted with town, I stumbled across the Artcraft. I peaked through the windows and just new I had to enter. Upon entering I was greeted by a woman - wish I could recall her name because... More

We took the afternoon off and traveled to Franklin to experience the Historic Movie Cinema. It was a blast. They are doing a wonderful job of preserving & restoring this theater that was built in 1922. Very nostalgic. We were totally surprised by the fact it has 600+ seats! The African Queen was the movie......... great quality 35 mm film.... More

My Red Hat group was happy with the nice atmosphere on their Senior Day. It is a lovely venue with reasonable prices on popcorn, etc. We thought it was a worthwhile trip down to Franklin from Indianapolis.

I grew up in Franklin & coming here brings back very fond childhood memories. Now I bring my grandchildren here & they love seeing the "old fashioned" place where Grandma used to go to the movie at. Thanks for the memories!
