The Fort Wayne Zoo is a great place to spend your day whether or not it's a family outing or just to get out if the house. The zoo isn't too big to get through and it's big enough to fulfill your wants and needs. The African Journey is a great place to start. You have your lions, hyenas, zebras,... More

My hubby and I visited this zoo today. I work in hospitality management field. I was surprised to find not one zoo worker smiling or being friendly. The animals were hard to see and they were very few of them. We did enjoy the sea lions and sea otters exhibits. The giraffes were disappointing... Binder park so much better on... More

It is not a huge zoo but there is a reason it is rated as one of the best children's zoos. It is a seasonal zoo open late April to early October. It has three basic sections each with something to offer. The front section has the Indiana farm section and Australian Adventure. They have a great barrier reef section... More

This zoo is one of the best zoos around, easy to get around, kids love it, you can interact with some animals and feed giraffes, and there's a good variety of animals to see; there's a train ride, a carousel ride, a ski left type of ride, food is reasonably priced as well. You can leisurely look around and that... More

This is a real gem especially for a mid sized city. The grounds are well kept, the food is not expensive and the variety of animals is impressive. You can also get up close and personal with a lot of species.Children would really like this feature. When you are in the city it is definitely worth a visit.

The Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo is a great zoo for everyone! There is so much to see. You can feed the giraffes, ride the train, go on a log ride, ride the carousel and many more things to see and do. Plan to spend at least 2 hours and maybe more to see everything.

We took our 3 grand daughters here for a fun day. The kids loved the Giraffe the best ! They could not get over how long the tongue was (18 inches) We spent 4 hours at the zoo and had snacks, they were ready for a nap when we left !

I first enjoyed this zoo when I was dating my husband. Membership was a necessity from birth to teen years of both our children: it was great to run in to see an exhibit for an hour, knowing we'd be back the following weeks for a few more of those single hour trips for excited & cheerfully exhausted kid &... What a great zoo! Not just for children, but adults too! Lots of animals and "rides". Feeding the giraffes was a big hit for all! It's easy to spend all day there, so manage naps! The kids will want to ride everything (which costs extra) so be prepared to pay for all the rides and bargain with the kids.

Thank you for reviewing the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo! On your next visit please consider a ride pass, which is a punch card with 12 rides for $20. It includes all of the rides except for the pony rides. They never expire and the whole family can use one pass and they will just use one punch for each person... More

I've grown up visiting this zoo. Honestly, for it's size I've yet to see a zoo with as much to see and do as Ft. Wayne's children's zoo. If you're in the area, it's a must see.
