General Anthony Wayne had a storied career and left his mark on the history of the Northwest and Indiana territories. This particular fort was later named for him, then destroyed. The replica buildings are open only during special events, but the grounds are open to walk around daily. There is no parking on Spy Run and downtown streets are metered.... More

Visited the Historic Fort Wayne and really enjoyed the park. There were replicas of the original buildings. It is very interesting walking through the park.

This is portrayed as the Old Fort, and have people dressed to the period. It is probably great for the gradeshool kids to take a history field trip, but it is not that in depth for me as a history buff.

We toured the Fort during the city-wide Fright-night festival. It was only $2 to participate-a real bargain. The guides told about hauntings, and reported sightings of paranormal activity. We were able to tour all parts of most of the buildings, which are not always open during other special events. We visited during the evening, and the tour was by candle-light... More

There I a historical fort in Fort Wayne. It I available to walk through but the buildings are only open on special events. The buildings are preserved beautifully but there is only a little leaflet describing each one. The toughest part is getting to the fort because there isn't any parking near it. We walked over the bridge which was... More

Nice visit to the Old Fort during "be a tourist in your hometown". Helpful volunteer staff. Bring back a lot of memories of grade school field trips. Great way to show the young ones our Fort Wayne history.

This is a great piece of history. A remake of Mad Anthony Wayne's fort from the war with the native Americans.

I love it here. There are so many re-enactments and events! It is the BEST when people do the 1st person interpretations and make you believe you and they are really in a particular time period. Keep up the good work! Can't say enough good things.

I saw a picture of the fort and thought it would be cool to go see. There is no real entrance to this place it just sits at the back of the park. I walked up to see it and it there were geese everywhere and it was just filthy. There was a bridge near the fort so I walked... More

One of my most unforgettable travels so far. Filled with so much history and spectacular sights. It was like revisiting and living in the past. It was wonderful.
