James Dean
Aug 2019 • Solo
James Dean is buried here, along with other members of his family. His gravestone isn't big, but it is probably the most decorated and visited in the cemetery.

Part of the James Dean experience

Pretty nice setting. Every September there is a James Dean festival that attracts about 20,000 people. This must see location is perfect for anyone interested in the "birthplace of cool."

GO, VISIT, bonjour and comment ca vas to all. never doubt, JAMES DEAN could have been a high school art professor and playwright, and a speech and language teacher for college preparatory students if he hadn't died UNEXPECTEDLY in a tragic car accident.

About a mile out if town. Cemetery is nice setting in farm area. Gravestone easy to find. Many things left (a lot of cig butts) on stone. Even lipstick marks on stone. A little further down road is house where JD was raised. Still a working farm owned by cousins of JD

Paid our respects
Aug 2018 • Couples
Was nice to stop by and spend some time at James Deans grave. A must do for any fan. Was able to pay our respects to him after all these years. Always wanted to make the drive and finally got the time to do it.

Interesting place to visit
Aug 2017 • Family
It is informative to see the cemetery. It gives the history of James Dean. I enjoyed the visit. It's a good idea to bring a camera to take pictures of the tomb stone.

Go PAST the Vet Memorial to the next drive. Second row at the top. Look for the white stones on both sides of the road.

James Dean

Well, after visiting the museum we were given a map to see the grave site. Why not. It is close by. The cemetery was bigger than I expected. There was a sign pointing the way to his grave site.

The headstone was smaller than I thought it would be. After 62 years from his death, people were still leaving items at his grave site. We were not the only one looking at it that day.

Rest in Peasce.

Stopped here after visiting the museum. Is literally a mile away right after the Veterans memorial. Second row top of the hill is the location.
