I'm from Australia and had heard about this place over the past almost 2 years on Instagram and had always wanted to visit. It's about an hour and 15 minutes out of Indiana, but once you get there, this place will blow your mind away. The memorabilia is beyond comprehension and the gentlemen who run it are so very friendly,... More

Stopped here after we visited the grave site to grab some memorabilia and was happy we did. Very nice shop lots of James Dean related items and other nostalgic things. The guy working the counter,Lenny? Was a wealth of knowledge in the area and just a great conversationalist.

Not sure why this museum is first in ranking over the History Museum down the street - this museum has an incredible amount of JD worldwide items. Lots of one of a kind things from Japan and other countries. If you are looking more for his personal effects, you need to go to the historical museum down the street. Still... More

This gallery is a must experience for those who are James Dean fans or curious about his life. The gallery doesn't charge admission and relies upon donations and sales. The staff are all volunteers, very knowledgeable and helpful. They were quick to give you a map and point out areas of interest. The gallery itself is filled with a lot... More

I didn't know what to expect when I drove up to the Gallery, but my expectations were met in a big way! I didn't know anything about James Dean and honestly never watched a single movie. However, I bought all three and a couple other souvenirs because you simply get caught up in the coolness of who James Dean was.... More

I have been visiting the James Dean Gallery for over 25 years. It is an extensive, well maintained and visually pleasing collection of Dean memorabilia. Owners David Loehr and Lenny Prussack make visiting Fairmount, Indiana an enriching lifetime experience!

Located in an old home on Main Street, James Dean Gallery is a place you will surely want to visit. Established in the 1980's (I think), the owners, David Loehr and Lenny Prussick have collected a huge amount of James Dean memorabilia. The gift shop has a lot of interesting items as well. You won't find any bigger "Deaners" anywhere.... More
