This zoo is a mix of old and new. The tree lined winding paths past a few scattered ponds help set a leisurely slow pace which is perfect for a zoo this size. There are plenty of different animals to see but we were able to take our time to enjoy each exhibit. We've been to larger and smaller zoos... More

The enclosures are pretty small and sad. I took my boyfriends little brothers there and the leopard? was just pacing back and forth in this very small enclosure. It looked bored out of it's mind. Far from an upscale zoo. Do not recommend.

I am a member, and love this zoo as a great walking place. The staff is always so friendly, and the zoo is well maintained. Of coures, I love seeing all the animals too. The annual Orchid Show is definitely something to see.

Sorry, but the zoo needs more animals than what it has. Chimps, lions, elephant, hippo and gorillas would be nice. They depend too much on the botanical which is ok. Zoo is suppose to be getting a form of hot weather penguins but that is not enough in my opinion. Zoo is not worth the money you pay.

Animals seen well taken care if here. I've been in many zoos in the world and this place appears to be managed well.

Considering how small Evansville is, this zoo is extraordinary. Amazon exhibit is great, the walking paths are beautiful. The old historical exhibit buildings are extremely cool.

Went to the zoo with family and had a blast. Some of the animals like Bunny the elephant and Donna the hippo are long gone. Miss the monkey ship and the carousel. The carousel is supposedly in the works to be brought back, and I am hoping the monkey ship will be given a new life of some sort. There... More

I love visiting the zoo and going walking, that's why I became a member recently. I love being able to visit whenever I want to and the membership lets me do that. It could use a little updating, but it's nice to see that they are doing that through the budgie exhibit and other things right now.

Mesker is a pretty good zoo and is getting better. The giraffes are my favorite. Amazonia is pretty awesome. There are many things in the works and I am looking forward to the improvements. There is a lot of walking at this zoo.....uphill. it is a good idea to rent a stroller/wagon unless you want to end up carrying your... More
