Traveled 1 hr and 20 min to go here only to be super disappointed. A car show as well as a big sale was advertised. I came with my 2 year old and 4 year old because the website states there are train rides, a petting zoo, bumper boats, etc. Upon arriving, the clerk at the customer service desk informs us that a lot of their attractions aren't open right now. The attractions are super over priced. Each attraction is 3.99 per person and only 5 minutes long. I'm not sure why the attractions were not open but it would have been a good idea for Lintons to communicate this on their website or Facebook page.

On the positive side....lintons has a lot of variety to choose from on their trees, shrubs and flowers. There are a lot of cute garden decor items. There are also a few cute places to take photos. The petting zoo (donkey, goats, pigs, emu, chickens) was probably the most fun of the whole trip. 50 cents in the machine for food.

I would only travel here again if I wanted to shop for my yard and I would not bring my children unless they were older.

***suggestion to those reading this post. If you have children, make the drive to Dutch Creek Animal Park. ***

We are sorry to learn of your disappointment. We have temporarily closed just a few of our attractions due to COVID and not being able to disinfect them after each guest use. We have chosen to due this to provide a safe family environment. After the threat of COVID is over we will be reopening our other attractions. As always, our Petting Zoo is absolutely free as well as all of our display gardens, and Quilt Gardens. Presently our Gem Stone Mining, Swan Paddle Boat, Quad Cycle, Pedal Go Karts, Pedal Train and our Train Rides are all operating. We hope to see you back soon!

We saw this was advertised as NW Indiana’s largest garden center and as it is time to purchase plants, decided to stop by and stock up.

When we got there a little after 9, the empty parking lot on a beautiful day should have been a sign. We went in to the gift shop area, which was huge. I figured if that was big, they must have acres of flowers and plants available. I only grow annuals and container citrus due to having a balcony and no yard, but I figured the ‘largest garden center’ would have a good selection.

Well, yeah, no, they didn’t. The plants they did have looked okay, but were pricey. Overall we found a poor selection of typical annuals. Outside they had a few landscaping perennials and tons of concrete garden statues.

Perhaps it was my fault, as I’m not interested in train rides, or boat rides, trinkets, or garden statues. I didn’t realize they would be such a heavy presence here. If you are, this could be the place for you! It really did seem like they had a good selection of those items.

We left disappointed. Maybe it’s still too early in the season for that place to be in full swing but unfortunately given the multitude of other garden centers in the area we won’t be back to find out.

We are so sorry for your disappointment! Yes, you are correct, your visit was too early in the season for our Governor just allowed our facility open just two weeks ago due to COVID19. Unfortunately, setting up Indiana's largest Home and Garden Centre takes much more time than a mere two weeks. We also have had a very late spring, and for that reason we have held off on displaying any perennials or deciduous plants that could have been damaged by the below freezing temperatures. We hope that you will return in a few weeks when we will be able to exceed your expectations! Thank you for your visit!

Ok, I realize we live in post-pandemic life and jobs are a-plenty and workers hard to find and I am saddened by all that, but…

I looked into this place a few years ago and thought it would be fun for my kids. My original plan was to take them to the Botanical Gardens.

We arrived and were told only 3 attractions were available: the swan boat ($3.99 for FIVE minutes), train ride ($4.99 per rider) and gem mining ($7.99 for smallest bag).

11 yr old boy: “The gem mining was highly disappointing, as the “gems” were mostly just rocks.”

I’m all for corny jokes, dad jokes, etc, but the train ride narration was painful.

The boat ride was nice, but by the time you figure out how to maneuver it, it’s time to get out. Note: there is only ONE swan to ride. I can’t imagine if there were ever to be more people.

We skipped the petting zoo, but it looked cute. Peacock, mini horse, birds, bunnies, etc

Also, the irrigation was set to come on…we were not told when we bought our tickets and we were definitely rushed through the three activities.

Now, if you are a local gardener or looking for new plants and trees, this looks like a nice place to go, but as a “tourist” I cannot recommend it.

Decided to visit Lintons Enchanted Gardens for a late breakfast, was blown away with the sales side of the store, and the gardens had a great selection of plants to choose from, however, the coffee shop whilst a lovely setting, the lady running it was extremely unpleasant, I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk that came out undrinkable and really sweet and couldn’t taste any coffee at all, she refused to do anything about it, was so rude and said I’d have to pay for another coffee, management really needs to address this ladies attitude, I would never go back there because of this, such a shame as the rest of the Center was wonderful. Almost $30 for a coffee, soda, piece of quiche and a sandwich, I don’t mind paying but when it’s served with this kind of attitude, they don’t deserve the business, no wonder it was empty. Coffee really isn’t that difficult to make.

We are happy to hear that you had an enjoyable experience with our Garden Centre as well as our Interior Decor Shoppe. We are saddened to hear that you were disappointed with your visit to our Cafe and the way you were treated. We have discussed your experience with our Cafe Manager about the Cafe staff's attitude. If you can supply us with your mailing address, we would love to send you a gift card to give us a second chance to exceed your expectations.

I've been to Linton's plenty of times over the years. I went today looking for a specific plant, which I found. The place is huge inside and out. They have a checkout place outside, but no registers, so instead you are given a ticket to go inside and pay for your plants. I had just been inside to pay for some merchandise, which I already waited about 10 minutes for the only lady available running the register. I then had to wait again for the one cashier to help a family decide on all the extra activities, like the swan boat ride, the petting zoo and food for the fish and the animals. She then had to explain to the couple where everything was on the map.
Lintons has to be bringing in some much money with all the options they have to purchase things, but they don't have different locations to checkout out besides walking into the store waiting in line onefor the cashier. This method makes no sense to me especially for people in a hurry!

Wide variety of retail goods and plant nursery.
Nicely displayed with charming touches.
The little cafe has inside and outside eating areas. Limited menu but unique choices and nicely put together.
Friendly staff.

Linton' Enchanted Garden has an appeal for everyone in the family. What a delight to visit a unique establishment. The gift shop has something for everyone of all ages. You will enjoy the cafe' especially with the teas and coffee while you rest to get ready for the second exploration of the store. Linton's Enchanted Garden offers floral arrangements, gift shop, cafe, educational sessions, along with staff members who graciously extend a helping hand with any questions that you may have. This establishment is also instrumental in helping you to create your own landscaping designs. I visited the store during to winter months, however when the warmer weather arrives the children can visit the petting zoo, train rides, and additional fun adventures. Linton's Enchanted Garden is a must see and great adventures awaits for all family member. HAVE FUN! J. Moss
