Stayed 2 nights. Contrary to many reviews the casino is listed as 110,000 sq feet and appears to be so, making it LARGER than the boat and has more machines! It is easily comparable to some of the larger casinos in LV.

I played almost 10 hours and in general the machines were mostly of newer models with only a very few old classics. Even some video poker machines had some odd betting twists on old pay tables. Only a few of the machines are not yet in service, probably less than 5%. I had a nearly $1000 bonus on an Octoberfest beer themed machine that I had never seen before.

On a Monday and Tues.the casino was in no way crowded. Tall ceilings and spacious aisles, I rented a scooter and could maneuver without trouble, smoke was not an issue.

Most table games were closed (not needed because of the small crowd) 2 craps tables were open and busy with $5 min, I won 500 there in about 20 min. Friendly craps dealers were experienced.

The much hyped sports book is not much. Boring set of chairs, no horse betting, no thought exerted to decor or ambiance, no cocktail service but a nearby bar.

We had interactions with about 24 employees. Many were friendly, probably 5 were lackadaisical and 5 were downright surly. At least 10 or more were unhelpful due to attitude, poor training, incompetence or all three. Employees are prone to be interacting with each other (cutting up) while you wait.

Also DO NOT believe everything Caesars website has to say about the property. The restaurant hours are not as listed, the bar specialty drink menus apparently are only on the website, the bartenders aren't even aware they exist. The bars quit before 3am state closing time. Despite the nearly empty bars it is slowww service. Drinks are inconsistently made.

Cocktail service is spotty and hit and miss. Slots have the drink ordering system which is successful about 1/3 of the time. Otherwise flag down a cocktail waitress. On Monday night there appeared to be only one for the whole casino.

Hotel is OK, hot tub was down. There is nothing spectacular about this hotel, but front desk was nice, and fast. Room was clean and everything worked. Had a fridge and safe.

They gave me my room for $20/day resort fee and I earned plenty of Reward credits to feed us. I also earned Platinum in 2 days. I was several hundred dollars ahead on 2 occasions but I dutifully somehow managed to stuff it all back in the machines, meaning it may be possible to win there just maybe not for ME.

Very new, several things need to be finished. Biggest complaint is the "Eating Facilities" The only restaurant is the Steak House with premium pricing! The other options are shopping center food courts. Party of four with fried chicken and meatloaf with veggies served on paper plates on self serve tray cost $100. Seems everything is a la carte. The soda was free self serve.
There are no plans for a traditional casino buffet.
Nothing posted on planned Entertainment. Handicap elevaror from valet parking is a service elevator to storage facilities to casino floor with broken buttons.
We expected more polish for a Caesars.

Two of us won a bit two lost a bit!

Good=I do like the new casino it's bright ,open & looks nice, the new Laurel Lounge is also nice & the bars are nice & surprised at all the draft beer selections Bad=The food court is bad, food is barely warm & over priced I suggest you eat before you go there the sports book even though it looks nice & has nice chairs when big game on 1 screen it's like watching through 9 pane window it's 9 tv screens & you see the lines separating each screen my wife got headache trying to watch & also left never seen anything like this before at any sports book I've been to & I've been to Vegas, A.C., & several other casinos that have sports books Ugly=Smoke is as bad as the boat the state of the art filtration system that Andrew bragged about for over a year does not work it's a shame that the state of Indiana & Caesars does not care about employees & the publics health & the slot machines have full ashtrays & spilled drinks on them & nobody cleaning them I guess they got rid of 1/2 their employees to pay for the new casino. This visit was on 1-1-2020 & if I come back it will be several months to see if they have gotten any better & several slot machines are still not operational. I hate it because I have a wonderful host & I know it's not his fault.

This has to be the worse casino Harrahs has.

First, the awful place is ran by rude guards and slot attendants. Management is like ostriches who have their heads right in the sand.

I went to the bar and got a coke and went to a machine and lowered my mask to take a drink, when this evil looking slot attendant came over yelling at me to take a sip, pull the mask up and down. I said take your drink I don’t want it. All the while many around me smoking with stink weeds hanging from lips and they say nothing to these idiots spraying me with their toxic smoke.

Upon entering the casino, they have these rude guards that make you go thru a metal detector then want your drivers license. I say screw you!

Nobody wins either, seen two people pouring hundreds in a $25 machine, $50 a pull and nothing. Same on floor, no jackpots.

Bottom line, place is ran by a bunch of hillbillies that do not have a clue what customer service is. I’d fire the entire senior staff and threaten the rest if they ever talked smart to my customers they’d be gone.

Come on folks, you’re screwed up!

First of all, they did not tell me there was no valet service. I had no way to get my luggage to my room. I asked of there was a luggage carrier rack available, which I was told they were locked up where they could not be accessed. The check in fellow was a joke and acted as if he did not care about anything. Asked me to sign something I could not read. Entrance to hotel not labeled clearly. Was not told there was no room service.
Security told me I had to open my purse in the casino as I entered. I am a 66 year old grandma. Let others go through without checking theirs. Casino is overpriced in food. 38$ for two cheeseburger meals Machines are overpriced. No selection in gaming machines.
I'll never come back .

First trip since Casino reverted back to Caesars and new Casino opened. Hotel reviewed separately.

My wife and I have visited this casino in the past as a couple and solo both under the Caesars brand and the Horseshoe brand. This was the first time we had an overnight stay in the hotel.

We were both very impressed with the new Casino. Our first visit was in 2006 for our 1 year anniversary when it was under the Caesars brand and the casino was the riverboat. Even with the COVID-19 restrictions that were in place the new Casino has more of a Vegas feel than the Riverboat.

My wife and I are slot players and that is where we spent our time. Several machines were shutdown due to COVID but we found a good mix of games both old and new and being a Tuesday evening we never had what we would consider a wait. I started in the High-stakes room and made a little bit of money. My wife stayed on the main floor and left as a winner. I didn’t do as well and even went back to the room for a break. My wife visited a couple of the bars and we both ate at the Grill which was the only restaurant available in the Piazza.

My only concern is that this great casino will be ruined in a year or two due to smoke. I wish Indiana were like Ohio and would ban smoking in Casinos. It doesn’t hurt the Ohio casinos and I doubt it would hurt Indiana. People can smoke in lots of places, but you can only gamble in a handful of Casinos.

I was looking forward to our first visit to the new Caesars. I left very unimpressed. This is a review of the casino not the hotel. First, get used to the floor shaking like you are on a street car in some casino locations. The casino is built on poles, I assume to protect from flooding but it is very off putting. Second, the casino is SMOKY. There is a no smoking area but everything is on one floor and no one enforces or pays attention to the no smoking area. Lots of cancer queens at the machines. Third, dining is a joke. Think shopping mall food court with 4 outlets. We had 2 chicken diners with 3 sides for $40. Mediocre at best and largely ignored as near as I could tell. Lots of video poker but mostly single pay machines with weak pay tables, a few 9/5 double double bonus machines but most are 8/5 or 6/5.

The atmosphere is sterile. Went to the large Diamond Lounge at 3:30 and the only thing offered was cheese and crackers and no bar tender in sight.

No reason to go out of your way to visit.

I have previously visited the SI Horseshoe casino location and was never really impressed with the old slot games, the mildew smell or the boatlike atmosphere. After much of the ongoing renovation was completed, i decided to take another look. During my stay at the Hotel, I did some gambling at the casino on the NEW and Improved Slot Machines. I was impressed with how the renovation opened up the space, created more light and brought the entertainment (restaurants/bars) and casino together. Although we weren't winners, the experience was an enjoyable one. I noticed a closed off (hard hat) area connedted to the casino/restaurant area that was still closed off with construction signs. In a few weeks, I intend to return to see what else opens up.

We stay here often and the room is always clean and staff very friendly. Our last trip we checked out and were 2 hours into our trip home when my husband realized that he left his watch in the safe. Panicked of course he called the hotel and didnt get an answer so he reached out to casino host Geoffrey (this was at 1:00 on a saturday and he does not come into work until 5) Geoff answered our call and told my husband he would contact the hotel and call us back. He called us back within 7 minutes and let us know that the housekeeper BettyJoe had found it and turned it in for us to pick up!! Wow what a relief, we turned around and drove back to pick it up. This is not the first time we left something in the safe, one time I left my debit card and the staff had turned it in for me, of course I could just cancel that and get a new one. My husband was so relieved and so thankful for the honesty of the housekeeping department and the urgency of which Geoff got the information to us. This property is always well kept and we always enjoy our stay. Way to Go Horseshoe Southern Indiana.

WONDERFUL! I was somewhat skeptical after reading nit-picking, negative reviews, but our experience was top notch! Check in/out was pleasant. Masks were not mandatory (thank God). Room was super clean, quiet and comfortable. Room service, Aroma Cafe and The Grill offered delicious, generous entrees and sides. Staff was friendly and the casino did not reek of smoke as others may try to make you believe. Not the casinos fault if you decide to lose hundreds of dollars in a half hour . . . . There is zero smoke smell in the hotel. Typical walk from hotel to casino in other combo resorts. Plus, they have the automated walk ways! It is NOT "out in the middle of nowhere"; five minutes from town, but the hotel has everything you need. Ignore the petty, whiny reports, you will enjoy every minute at this Caesars establishment! We had a delightful stay and will return for a nice little get away.
