This is a wonderful example of modernist architecture and since it's the focal point and beginning of the architectural sites of the city, I won't go into detail but our visit during the architectural tour was well worth it. Nothing like the gothic cathedrals of Europe but amazing none the less.

Visited this church as part of a walking architecture tour. It was within walking distance of the visitors center and across the street from the library. A great way to start out the tour. The library was built after the church but took some design cues from the church. Also nearby is the lovely Irwin home and gardens.

You first notice the tower. It is a beacon from all over town. We used it to navigate back to the visitor's center. The interior is full of little details. I highly recommend using a guide to get the full picture. The back story is almost as good as the physical building. It is located in the heart of the... More

If you are interested in architecture, you do need to go on a guided tour (Columbus Architectural Tour) that includes seeing the inside of this sanctuary. Your Guide will give background history and point out things that make this church unique. It is well worth the money.

Walking into this building, one is astonished that such a modern building was actually built during World War II. The detail of the architectural design still wows visitors and architectural students from around the world.

A must to walk into the sanctuary of this unique and way before it's time church that Eliel Saarinen designed for this congregation in 1942. The bell tower, the chapel, the reflecting pool---all very impressive. If you go on the walking tour from the visitors center, you will be able to know and see so much more of this famous... More

Built in a fashion similar to the great cathedrals in Europe, this church is a sight to behold. The tapestry on the wall was made by Saarinen's wife and is beautiful. Acoustics is this church are pretty good too. Take the Visitor Center tour to learn more about the church.

Great place with very friendly people.....and a very good sermon. We felt just like a couple that has been here for years. Great atmosphere and good parking too. Stop in and visit.... it might become your place to worship all the time.
