We walked through here as part of the 2016 Mill Race 5k. It was scenic and nicely paved. My kids enjoyed the covered bridge as well going under the train bridge. I enjoyed the portion along the creek. We appreciated the bathrooms, but it would have been nice to have doors on the stalls.

For a city of its size, Columbus, Indiana has done a FANTASTIC job connecting all corners of the city with paved trails. They're fantastic for bicycling, walking, running, and just enjoying nature. For 4 summers I spent several month working in Columbus. I would always bring my bike with me so I could ride after work. The paths are well-marked... More

I love the people trails here. The trails seldom cross automotive paths, often pass through parks, woods, neighborhoods and are well maintained and lighted. If you're looking for an activity to get you outside and enjoying life, I highly recommend the trains. They're great.

The people trails are so convenient when looking for somewhere to run, walk or go bike riding! Not crowded.

We biked Columbus for 3 hours and used the People Trails for probably 1/3 of that time. They usually weren't very crowded and some of them went through parks and along the riverbanks. The town has an extensive biking trail system, also, which often interconnects with the People Trail.

Signage would go a long way here. Columbus is a beautiful town. I downloaded the map (pdf) - but not easy to look at that while you're riding bikes. Just a little signage would help so much!

The trails are a great way to get around town, either for exercise or commuting. Never over crowded. The only bad part is some sections are prone to flooding.

Our family loves to use the people trails for walking and biking. They wind throughout Columbus and so we can get to many different areas and sides of town. There are some spots in which you have to cross streets but we have done so with the kids just fine. The area through Mill Race is great!

My wife and I bicycle or walk on the trail 3 to 4 times a week weather permitting. It is mostly well maintained, None of the routes are ever crowded. Great way to see much of the city.

This was a great way to work up an appetite for breakfast. Smooth and well traveled, make you feel your wife could walk by herself.
