Lucas Oil Raceway is home to the most historic drag strip in the world, a fan-favorite short track paved oval, and a 2.5 mile road course. Each year, the US Nationals (currently the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals) comes to Lucas Oil Raceway over Labor Day weekend. This event is the largest drag race in the world which will see more than 100,000 guests and close to 1,000 competitors. Ticket prices vary by day and seating location. The US Nationals is truly a sensory overload when the Top Fuel Dragsters and Nitro Funny Cars reach speeds of over 320 MPH in only 1000 feet of track. Wear ear protection and sun screen since the cars are loud and the sun is hot! Throughout the rest of the year, the track features a amateur race night most Wednesdays where anyone can race their own car down the drag strip, called Wild Wednesday. The track will also feature the ARCA Racing Series, CRA Series, USAC, Mazda Road to Indy (Pro Mazda/USF2000), Summit ET Bracket Series Division 3 Finals, Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, NMCA (National Muscle Car Association), Hot Rod Drag week, and more! Visit our website for all event information.

We spent the weekend here for NMCA racing. Having been to some really crappy tracks I was very pleased to spend my weekend at this track. There are plenty of clean bathrooms, a very good thing to have at a track. The stands are nice and plenty large. Of course being a race track there isn't any real shade so... More

We caught a night of racing here while in town for the Indy 500 with the Pro Mazda open wheel cars and Silver Crown Sprint Cars. It's a nice facility with good viewing from anywhere in the stands. Would like to come back someday for the US National Drag Racing.

Excellent venue for the event. Top cars and teams, entertaining promotions, perfect weather too. Easy access, flexible times of watching racing, engaging with vendors and talking to team members up close. Both night and day racing.

Plenty of room to sit and watch the races. Food choices could be better, liked it more when they invited other food vendors.

The hollowed grounds of the NHRA's most prestigious event, the U. S. Nationals. Always a fun time had by all. However, the former IRP is not without the usual dragstrip flaws: minimal bathrooms and few shady areas (save for underneath the stands). Nonetheless, they get the parking right, and the grounds are well kept and expansive. A great place for... More

There is no event like going to the NHRA Nationals during Labor Day weekend. No other venue would take the place of this historic track. Cleanliness was supreme. Adequate, but not tremendous amounts of bathrooms. Excellent seating for any price range. Surface prep of the track was taken care of in A1 manner. PA system was as good as any... More

This is one of the 3 times we have attended the NHRA and but is my first review. NHRA is a very big event and I was surprised at the poor accommodations for the fans that is offered especially considering the amount you pay for this. For general admission it is 56 dollars and this changes a couple of dollars... More

Went to the U.S. Nationals today. There is no bad seat in the house... Second day of the 3 day event. When you buy a general admission ticket...you are allowed to go into "Nitro Alley" where all the cars, crews and driver hang out. Great food at the track. Of course food and drink is quite expensive, but they do... More

Our home track is in joliet and it by far has this place beat! First thing getting to the track takes forever cause the towns roads can't accommodate these crowds need to widen roads. Second the facility doesn't have adequate bathroom facilities to handle these crowds. Also could you get more picnic tables to let people sit and maybe eat... More
