My friend Brandi & I came out this past weekend for a spur-of-the-moment tasting, & walked out with 2 bottles of Moonshine for her (Orange Dreamsicle & Coffee) & 1 for me (Coffee) plus a bottle of the Pass the Buck for the hubby. We had SUCH a great time @ your place! Really appreciated the casual atmosphere, & friendly conversation. So refreshing compared to other places that try to be overly pretentious. We WILL be back & have already spread the word! Looking forward to trying some of the wood-fired pizza you talked up :) Tara ~ Milwaukee, WI P.S. For those just tasting & purchasing, ~ 30 minutes. But even better, find something you like, buy a glass & relax for a bit longer - the owners make for great company!

We and another couple stopped here on our way home from a short road trip. It is a small venue in the country. Does not necessarily look appealing from the outside. Small selection of wines, mostly sweet (which I do not prefer) and a variety of interesting moonshine offerings. The “coffee” moonshine was actually not bad. I did purchase a bottle of wine that was described as “semi-dry.” It was pleasant, but too sweet for my personal preference.

I was prepared to give this Winery high marks until we recently opened and poured 2 bottles at home and discovered an after taste that did not seem to be present at the Winery. That after taste lasts too! We have yet to try the Running Bear ( which they had to label while there as there were only 3 basically " sample" bottles remaining and they stated might have " sediments" which now has me concerned taste wise) but the Desperado and the Cayuga White were at home disappointments. The wife / co owner was the wine pourer / greeter and I have to say she was not the friendliest. She did not smile once. They also seemed a little unorganized and ill prepared for tasting guests. Growing over 80% of their own grapes, I soooo wanted to like this place and really thought I'd be writing a praising review , not the critical one that is tumbling onto the page.

Steph, I just noticed your review of my business on Trip Advisor. I really wish that you would have called me if there was a problem. Would have been more than happy to have had a chance to correct the problem rather than see a review that I had no idea was out there until I just happened to be searching the internet and stumbled on it. It is difficult to improve when you don't know about a situation. I do apologize for having to label the Running Bear, it is very popular and we do everything by hand since we are a very small farm winery. As for the sediment, some very dark red wines will have some sediment particularly over time as exposed to oxygen. The sediment should not have any impact to the taste. I just had a bottle of Kendall Jackson Merlot that had sediment in the bottom. The Wine was awesome and as a winemaker I know how things work, sure some people would complain about the sediment that don't understand wine, but I didn't care the wine was fine. We are a very small winery and attend lots of events so to describe us as a little unorganized and ill prepared for tasting guests I find very hard to believe. My wife was the pourer and I find it difficult to believe she was not friendly or didn't "crack" a smile either. The Desperado that we have flies off the shelf however maybe you just got a bad bottle. I can count on 1 hand how many bad bottles I have had from people. I always tell them thank you for coming back and make it up to them. Sure things can happen. Like I said earlier I wish you would have contacted me right away. I would have shipped you new bottles on me and would still do it today. I am not in business to disappoint people but to exceed your expectations. Looks like we failed on your visit from your feedback. My sincere apologies. I can also count on 1 hand how many negative reviews we have received. We just won medals with some of our different wines so I know we are doing something right.

Family operated winery! Incredible wine and friendly conversation! Beautiful views! Ask for a tour if you go! During seasonable weather they will often have events with food, music and wine. I've taken many friends here and we have always had a great time!
