The Monon Trail is a fun venue. We’ve ridden our bikes, walked our dog and walked on it with our granddaughters. There are parts that are shaded when it’s hot out. I highly recommend enjoying the trail.
Experiencing the Monon Rail Trail in Indianapolis, Carmel and Westfield. Great views, level - paved and with a center-line allows for comfortable running and walking without too much interference from bikers. It's good to see police patrols from time to time too.

We had a great time here. A lively place to walk. Several places to grab a bite along trail. We had a very relaxing experience. You don't have to be a power Walker. Plenty of slow walkers as well as runners share trail amicably.
