About
Founded in 2009. That's the Rub Massage Therapy Center & Body Boutique is Bloomington, Indiana's destination for Results-Oriented Massage Therapy (tm). Whether you need medical or therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, or just to relax and unwind with our spectacular spa treatments, That's the Rub has the right massage for you. In September 2014, That's the Rub expanded once again (our 4th time in 4.5 years!) opened The Body Boutique, a specialty store attached to The Massage Center featuring body care, skincare, local art, and quite a bit of whimsy! in 2016, That's the Rub was delighted to work with Ivy Tech Bloomington to develop a new Massage Therapy program to train the next generation of massage therapists. In 2018, That's the Rub once more expanded, adding on a 7th treatment room, and a large class space for both professional massage training for therapists in the region, group classes and education for the public, community workshop space.

Every time I choose Thats The Rub, the whole experience is worth every penny I spend. The spa is clean, staff are well organized, friendly, and helpful. Overall, an A+ experience start to finish.

I have been going to That’s the Rub for years. Every single massage specialist has been fantastic. They are highly knowledgeable about physiology, injuries, surgeries and the types of massage that can/will help with pain and strain. Everyone we know goes to That’s the Rub, and we refer people there all the time.

I’ve been uses the services of the Rub for years, I HIGHLY recommend it over ANY business in Bloomington. Due to an injury, I need a massage every month or so to keep my pain at bay, I’ve tried them all....That’s the Rub is THE BEST!
I use Beth when I need a standard therapeutic massage. She will listen to you and use her expertise to make you feel awesome!
Kayla is fabulous if you want a Deep Massage. She can break up those knots that are causing aches from working on the computer all day.
I recently visited Reno and paid triple for a massage....what a disappointment! They did not listen to what I asked for. Don’t think you will get a better massage by paying more or less elsewhere, you will end up coming to the Rub. Save my Money, visit the Rub, you won’t regret it!!!

Due to an accident, I have suffered severe pain in my shoulders and neck. I decided to try this location after my regular massage therapist recommendation. I signed up with Joe for a 1.5 hr deep tissue massage, and am so very happy I did!!! After much twisting, pulling, stretching and deep muscle rubs, my shoulder and neck muscles are vastly improved. I've signed up for another massage next week! Skip visit g other places in or around Bloomington and visit Joe at That's the Rub!!!

Emily and Gabrielle are excellent massage therapists. I'm a runner and my legs get super-tight and they are both able to fix them right up! They listen to the client's concerns and are both good at explaining which muscles are tight and why. Highly, highly recommend.

Had the opportunity to visit That's The Rub with my sister who lives in the Bloomington area. Neither fancy nor ostentatious, just focused on excellent massage services. Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable. Book a session with Rachel or Beth if you have the opportunity and you will definitely find this to be a review worthy of your "helpful" vote!

My husband and I visit That's a Rub when we vacation in Bloomington from KY. the therapists keep information on you and ask questions to understand any health issues or needs. They each gave us a little more than an hour for deep massages. The touch, timing, and skills were perfect.

The therapist, environment and service were overall nice. I tried the lymphatic drainage massage as I’ve heard good things and I’ve never had one, but if I were to go a second time, I would choose their advanced therapeutic massage.
