A wonderful trip from pickup to return. While viewing the Sandhill Cranes at Jasper-Pulaski was the centerpiece of the tour, David also scheduled stops at Celery Bog (for waterfowl), Kankakee Sands (for birds, bison, and shortgrass prairie restoration), and Prophetstown State Park (birds and tallgrass...More

Thanks for a great summary of a wonderful outing, Tom! The sunset was the best one ever! I just want to correct you on one thing... they were beavers swimming near their den (not badgers). :)

My friend and I had a delightful two hour kayak paddle on Lake Monroe. David was an excellent guide, making sure we were comfortable with our kayaks and identifying the many birds we saw. I plan on more trips with Indigo!

There are always birds to see! In winter I'd recommend an eagle tour of Lake Monroe or a trip to Goose Pond to see the snow geese and raptors. (Sorry this is so late... I didn't receive a notification!)
