Refreshing break on a long drive to Diglipur
Dec 2019
Amkunj is a black sand beach. The beach itself is not much to write about but the sea views are very nice. if you happen to be in the vicinity, chances are you are on the long road trip from Port Blair to Diglipur. If yes, on a hot and dusty day, Amkunj can be a welcome break to stretch your legs and cool your eyes!

Black sand Beach

The beach is in North Andaman. If you happen to go to Rose & Smith Islandv(Diglipur) while returning you may pass some time here. Not recommended for swimming. I was told that sea turtle would breed here during the season.

A beach on the go
Jan 2019
This beach is not frequently visited one. However while travelling from Rangat to Diglipur, you can opt to see it if you have ample time in hand.. Okay sort of beach when compared to the beauty in Andaman

Beautiful Beach in North Andaman
Mar 2018 • Couples
One can catch a glimpse of this beach as one is driving from Rangat to Diglipur. We took some time off to spend half an hour on the beach. The beach is not suitable for swimming due to submerged rocks and corals close to the beach. Nonetheless a beautiful and serene beach to admire nature's beauty.

This beach is located on the way between baratang to Diglipur; it is a small beach but nice and calm, sea shore is stony so not very good for bath, just to spent short time to take photos; toilet facility is also poor

Disappointing Beach Go Eleswhere!
May 2017 • Couples
I was expecting so much more, especially as I had seen some of the pictures on Pristine Beach Resorts website, which are obviously fake and photo shopped!

The sea is grey and the sand is black, there is much more beautiful beaches in other places of the Andamans. Don't waste your time going all this way from Port Blair is not worth it!
