About Diamond Ghost Charters
My name is Captain Tony Bovenzo and I am the owner/operator of Diamond Ghost Charters. Celebrating 26 years of salmon and trout fishing near Chicago. A full time captain fishing 7 days a week. My boat can accommodate parties from 1 to 6 persons. Weekday specials, we offer sport fishing out of North Point Marina in Winthrop Harbor Illinois, on Lake Michigan. Fishing at its best. Trolling is the best and easiest way to catch these tasty fish for your dinner table.

Had an awesome day on the lake with Captain Tony. Great boat, great set up, and he really knows how to track the fish. Great experience all around and can't wait to be back out with Tony again!

This was our first time fishing Lake Michigan for Salmon and Lake Trout, and it was fantastic! Captain Tony had us on fish in under five minutes. We had such an awesome time, and brought back plenty of fresh fish. The Diamond Ghost is a great boat and super clean. Everything on our charter went smooth. Left on time, returned on time, caught plenty of fish. All the fishing equipment was in top shape, and the Captain had all lines out in no time and we started catching fish. He cleaned our catch for us and bagged it up great. Captain Tony is not only a great captain who will get you fish, but also a down to earth good person with a good sense of humor who is fun to visit with and hear his stories. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BOOKING ANOTHER TRIP ON THE DIAMOND GHOST WITH CAPTAIN TONY !

Diamond Ghost boat is very comfortable to fish out of, and Captain Tony is very knowledgeable , as he does this 7 days a week . He knows , as we say, where the fish live ! He has a fun personalty, and works the back of the boat setting lines, coaching, and netting fish , with remarkable speed , and makes even the first time rookie feel like a million $$$, with every fish he puts in the net for you. You will totally enjoy your adventure with Captain Tony on the Diamond Ghost boat!

I have been on dozens of charter fishing trips. Everything from Lake Michigan to deep sea charters and guided trips in Puget sound and the Mexican riviera. I am happy to rate Tony as the #1 captain I have ever had. He is fun and funny, he has a great boat but more importantly he knows how to catch fish. Period. Tony said it best when he said "I keep the boat on auto-pilot so I can spend my time where it matters most, on the back of the boat where the action is. His knowledge of Lake Michigan, his equipment and what his guests need are unsurpassed in my opinion. The entire 6 hours Tony never stopped his rapid changing to find the right lures, his commentary about a wide variety of subjects and a wealth of fishing charter stories that were hilarious. I have been on many charters where a group of 4 crew didn't do as much to ensure our satisfaction. He will be the only skipper my friends and I will go with from now on. Thanks Tony!
