Visited this brewery & purchased some excellent beer. Quite a few of everything in fact & now need another visit. We are in North Yorkshire so it must be good to be worth the trek! The brewery is set in a lovely location & the welcome is also just as good. Enjoy...!

Bar and music venue attached to the brewery. Off the beaten track. Great beer, cocktails, service and ambience.

On holiday and looked up for a local brewery and found this place. They were suprised that I wanted a bright beer take-out but eventually filled my 4 pint milk container with Welsh Gold...and charged a meager 6 quid for the privilege!

A friendly crowd selling excellent ale at great prices; what's not to like! If you're a CAMRA member and visiting from afar then I highly recommend this brewery and their beer.

I hope you find this review helpful.

Well and truly hidden away on a rural farm only a few miles from Conwy and close to Bodnant Garden. The head brewer isn't too interested in visitors - we are a distraction to his passion of brewing excellent beer, using local water and high quality grains & hops.
I phoned beforehand and managed to visit the modern microbrewery, housed in a barn.Glad I did so as I met one of the staff...a very pleasant & helpful guy who helped me select a good range of their beers. These include Orme (4.2%) Celtica (4.5%) Great Welsh (4.1%) Welsh Black (4.0%) and even1085 Snowdon Lager (4.7%).
Great Orme Brewery makes really good beer. Thankfully they are available from local supermarkets that include Tesco and Aldi - much more convenient than finding the actual brewery, but far less fun!
Incidentally, the Purple Moose Brewery in Porthmadog also makes excellent beer: their Dark Side of the Moose (4.6%) is also delicious and worth finding - as is their microbrewery!

You might assume from the name that the Great Orme Brewery is located somewhere on the big lump of limestone adjacent to the town of Llandudno. You would however be wrong, the brewery is in fact located in the hills at the top end of the Conwy Valley about five miles away from Llandudno. The fact that it's hidden away isn't a problem though as you can easily buy their excellent ales in supermarkets including Tesco in Llandudno Junction and Morrisons in Colwyn Bay. You can also buy them from the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre if you're happy to pay over the odds. The brewery is also one of the partners behind the superb Albion Ale House in Conwy. If you like proper beer, as opposed to fizzy brown water, you won't be disappointed.
