Lovely place to visit and stay dry and free admission. Such a lot of information displayed and packed into the space. We spent a couple of hours here. The cafe is also lovely and popular with locals.

Friends we are staying with in Kent asked were we interested in visiting a WW@ museum featuring spitfires and hurricanes. We were and we were not disappointed. This voluntary run museum is a treasure trove of WW@ memorabilia including two actual aircraft - a Spitfire and a Hurricane. THe amount of memorabilia on display is a credit to those who have built the collection and the stories around the walls are poignant and comprehensive. It's an intimate museum which manages to pack so much in related to the two aircraft there. Yes as the name implies a Spitfire and Hurricane take pride of place with lots of fascinating memorabilia from the War. Not to be missed !

Wonderful welcome form the lady at the desk who gave us lots of information about what to expect from the museum, the displays were interesting, and it was good to get so close to such iconic aircraft.
