About
Horseback riding trips in Córdoba, Argentina If you are looking for the best way to acknowledge the nature of the hills of Córdoba, share a typical meal with a gaucho, and discover a new way to relate to horses, this is the perfect trip for you. The idea of the trip is to enjoy a full day of horseback riding with a specialized guide. The day starts at 9:00 am and ends at 18:00 approximately. The guide himself will pick you up with his car wherever you are staying in Córdoba center, will drive you to the ranch "Estancia El Rosal" where the horses live, and later he will bring you back home. The day is divided in two parts so you can enjoy every minute without getting tired. We recommend to bring: A camera, for the outstanding views and beautiful horses, long trousers, sunscreen, swimming suits for the river and hats for the sun
Duration: More than 3 hours

Amazing day spent yesterday at el Rosal! Highly recommended and Salvador is the best gaucho (that includes the art of el Asado 😉) showing his passion of horses and nature. Everything is perfect, from the riding to the asado and the walk around the estancia.
Don’t hesitate just go !!!!

My girlfriend and I were in Cordoba for 3 days and after two days strolling through the city we were keen to visit the nature surrounding Cordoba.
Via a travel agency (in hostel tango) we booked the horseback riding trip with Salvador and we loved it!
The trip through the mountains was fantastic with beautiful views (the trail led us through a small river), good explanations and help from Salvador and his son, and a very tasty parilla lunch. We never rode a horse before so Salvador picked some 'trancillo' horses for us.
Just before lunch we had a nice swim in a small mountain lake with very clean water. (So bring your swim wear!).
It was definitely one of the best parts of our 3 week trip through Argentina.
Thanks again Salvador!!!

I absolutely loved today. I was picked up from my hotel in Cordoba and then we drove out of Estancia El Rosal by Salvador and his team. Once there we had a walk around the Estancia and told about the work they do there, whilst our horses were prepared. We then went for a ride on beautifully kept horses with great temperaments through the woods. On our return from this ride we were provided with an amazing lunch barbecued. A siesta followed by a longer late afternoon ride around the area. We were looked after amazingly by the team and just had the best day. The team then drove me back into the city. They never stopped smiling and their days are long and hot. I highly recommend this day out!!!!

We travelled for one day of riding and one night in the accomodation.
The trip was faultless from pickup to drop off.
The horses are brilliantly trained and easy to ride.
The food and wine were fun albeit there are lots of flies to share your lunch with.
The horses are well cared for and never mistreated

If you are looking for a great day of fun, and amazing views, this is the thing to do when visiting Cordoba. Salvador and his lovely family are the best, the gave us an unforgetteble day. Even for me that had never been on a horse, and they do scare me a bit, I have to say I'm in love with them horses. ;-) No problem at all, Salvador and his son helps with everything. If I'm ever so lucky to visit Cordoba again, this would be my first thing to do all over again. :-D Thanks for the best day ever. :-D But remember to wear long pants, there are some really spikey bushes!!!

What a great way to see the surrounding mountains in Cordoba. My friend Lucy and I had a great day - it was both exciting and relaxing. The ranch itself is tranquil and the 4 hour ride was fantastic. First time on a horse so suitable for any skill level. Topped with a good filling lunch and a friendly knowledgeable guide Salvador, you should hang with him too!

I could not recommend this day trip enough - was on the best days i had in Argentina!
We had two horse rides, one in the morning and one in the afternoon for a total of 4 hours (you also have the choice to go in the pool for abit too). The views were unbelieveable and we even got to ride through the rivers with the horses. Salvador who runs the trip was brilliant, really kind and we had a good laugh all day. The ranch was beautiful and the BBQ was delicious.

I had a wonderful day at Salvador’s Ranch. He is a great host and tour guide, who really loves his job. He picked us up at the hostel in Córdoba city and brought us to the his ranch. First he showed us around the property, which was stunning and had some interesting environmental-friendly projects running. Then we rode the horse for a bit and returned for a DELICIOUS Asado lunch prepared by Salvador himself, accompanied by some red wine. After lunch we went out for another ride which was even better then the first part. Beautiful views, responsive horses and again Salvador who made everything even more enjoyable. Overall perfect day!

I went yesterday for a day trip with Salvador. I was the only person on the tour and was really thankful that they did not cancel like other tours would. From start to finish, Salvador and his son made me feel very welcome they could not do enough to make me feel looked after. We had a horse ride in the morning through a beautiful forested area followed by a lovely asado. In the afternoon we took another horse ride where we had some beautiful views of the surrounding area! I had a great day and would recommend to anyone who is in Cordoba. Very good value for money and a great experience. Muchas gracias!

I can thoroughly recommend a day with Salvador in the Sierras Chicas. We were staying in Cordoba, and my fiancé and I were keen to sample some Argentinian horse riding in the local countryside. We found Salvador via Facebook, and thanks to some positive TripAdvisor reviews, decided to book a day experience. We are so glad we did, as it was arguably the best thing we did in Argentina! There is so much positive stuff we could say, but here are the main points... 1. We are both beginner horse riders, and I was particularly nervous about being on a horse. We mentioned this to Salvador and he gave us both gentle horses, meaning we had no trouble on the day. I absolutely loved the ride, and felt relaxed throughout. In addition, the way you ride is Salvador goes up front, and either his daughter/assistant is nearer the back - so if you've any issues, you're seconds away from some help. I trusted the whole experience. 2. The way our day was organised was perfect. We went for a longer 1.5-2hour ride before lunch, then enjoyed a basic but delicious asado for lunch (the steak was amazing), then we headed out for another 1 hour ride down towards a stream/river where we had a quick dip before heading back home. 3. Salvador is a fantastic host. He was really jolly and genuine, and seemed to really care that we were happy and having fun. His English is also very good - a bonus if like us, you can't really converse in Spanish. Our only tips would be to bring LOTS of water, suncream and possibly a hat. The weather was boiling, and some people got very sunburnt! Plus we couldn't buy water at the facility - so had to settle for a lemonade.

This sounds ideal for my boyfriend and me - we're hoping to book a day trip for the 17th July - I've messaged through the contact form on the website (in Spanish) but what's the best way to find out about availability and prices?
Thanks!
