Crystal Lake Park is small but very beautiful. Near a rail way and University Ave. 水晶湖公園不大,可是很漂亮,像是個小森林,又有條小河經過,帶著你的午餐到船屋旁邊坐下,享受這靜謐的氣氛,是很棒的一件事。

I took my son and I on a hot day to Crystal Lake for a paddleboat excursion. It was safe, inexpensive and fun. Allocate at least an hour to explore all of the nooks and crannies in this small but winding lake, and bring some water and sunscreen for hot days. Parking is free and the scenery is pleasant. A very nice way to spend part of your day.

Crystal lake park has many many grilling place for small to medium size of groups. I like this place for grilling. Also, kids in our group could play in playground. So this place is family-friendly.

Crystal Lake Park at 206 West Park Street in Urbana is a wonderful 144-acre property supervised by the Urbana Park District that features a mature urban forest, a scenic parkway drive, the Saline branch and numerous amenities. To the North, the park hosts the Anita Purves Nature Center, Busey Woods and Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center. To the South, visitors will find the Lake House, a playground and the labyrinth. The park is home to many special events, including summer camp programs. Boat rentals are available in summer and fishing is a popular activity whenever weather permits. An accessible fishing pier is located just west of the Lake House. And there is plenty of space for family picnics. The Aquatic Center has something to offer for all ages, including a diving board, climbing wall, streambed, sand play, vortex and eight-lap lanes. Fishermen delight in catching largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill and sunfish. Free fishing lessons are offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Canoeing on the lake also is very popular. In the winter, the park's Cannonball Hill is a great location for cross-country skiing and sledding. And it's all located within the city limits.

This is a nice park with a beautiful small lake. Very convenient for picnics and has kids playgrounds. It becomes a little scary at night according to locals so make sure you leave before dark.

When I just arrived at Urbana, I stayed in Lincoln Lodge so it is quite close to Crystal lake park. My boyfriend and I hang out there quite often. Our first kiss was there. That's about two years ago. Now we've married.

They have a great play-set for the kids to play on, paddle boat rides, beautiful scenery, a walking trail, and volleyball court. I am sure there is more to see, but we only got about half way around the park and then were exhausted from all the fun! Seems like a safe place during the day, but I am not sure I would go here at night.

This is one of the oldest parks in Urbana Illinois and one of the Best.
It is very well cared for but needs more work.
Many volunteers help with a very well organized staff.
A good place for a family reunion if the family has mostly young people.

Crystal Lake Park is a hidden gem. Its design is ingenious, with a layout that makes it feel much larger and more spacious than it is. The paths in Busey Woods and the nature center are fabulous. This is one of my favorite places to walk. The deck outside the lake house is a lovely place to sit.
