We live within walking distance of this place and walk our hound (chocolate Labrador) most evening. A great place to walk with dogs, family or to tire out small children. Also great for a cream tea. We often spot deers and other wildlife, so keep...More

Tower open by appointment today fo a visiting group. Brisk walk up from the carpark through beautiful woods - about 10 - 15 minutes. Fantastic view from the top of the tower - 184 steps up. Coffee and cakes on sale in the tearoom. delicious....More

Odd. Parking - poorly signposted off the main road, bottomed my car on the potholed entrance. The parking is abismal - unpassable without a 4*4 a total quagmire. Slightly spooky creatures in the wood presumably for archery practise. Will return in summer for another go.

Beautiful indigenous deciduous woodland. Lovely tea room and gentleman. Very interesting tower with lots of steps and views par excellence. Great walk with kids.
