This is a wonderful place! For the less daring, you can walk pretty close to the waterfall and experience the force of the water. For the more daring, you can walk in behind it, and experience like no other. We were there in November, so it was raining, but here, if you're daring, you're going to get wet anyway. The... More

Just off the side of the road. Great for those that do not want to hike or walk. Beautiful! Great for pictures. You will get wet. Bring water proof clothing or a poncho. The wind blows the water in all directions.

Another beautiful waterfall. Go early to avoid the crowds. Climb steps to walk behind the waterfall for a great view. The walk back down from the fall is a little challenging as you need to climb up and down rocky floor before reaching the proper steps but definitely worth it.

Another beautiful waterfall amongst the many beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Those traveling the South Coast will get to visit this waterfall as well as Skogafoss. This waterfall is quite narrow and tall but still stunning. Take a walk behind the waterfall if there is time.

I would recommend arriving early at this waterfall because it is a popular tourist destination and when the tour buses arrive, it is really crowded!

The Seljalandsfoss waterfall is breathtaking, the size and force alone, in stark contrast to the rugged surroundings. There are railings so that you can walk up behind the water fall and see it from the back as well as the front. in front there is a small "cliff" in front of the waterfalls, perfect for pictures. There is also parking,... More

We visited this waterfall as a stop on a day trip and was glad we did. The waterfall is amazing and has two more smaller ones just to the left of it which are also brilliant to look at. There is a stair case that takes you up the side of the waterfall and another that takes you behind it,... More

We visited this by chance as we saw it from the road side on the way to Skogafoss.. We are so so glad we spotted it, it is wonderful and beautiful. From the idyllic patterns in the ice to the beautiful bridge over the water, it's incredible.. There is a little shop and kiosk to get refreshments. Skidding on the... More

Seljalandsfoss itself is already one of the most special waterfalls in Iceland. You can walk around it but it'll be full of tourists during the summer days so don't expect on being able to make a lot of pictures. The waterfall about 100 metres to the left was much more worth the visit. It's inside a small cave and you'll... More
