Located across the street from the Glacier Lagoon, it makes it worth visiting since it's so close. There are chucks of ice scattered throughout the beach. We were lucky and had the sun out so the ice was actually shiny at some points. I did...More

I've never seen such ice before that in my life, but, for some reason, the beach wasn't that abundant in "diamonds" - we went there in March and there were only a few

Black sparkly sand, cold breeze, calming waves washing small pieces of ice out. The sunny weather and presence of my friends was just cherry on top. Felt very calm and happy.

Just before Glacier Lagoon, the entrance is now just before the bridge on the right when coming from Vik. On the GPS it still has the old entrance on the other side of the bridge. This is a black sand beach with broken icebergs from...More

Completely incredible and unique place. Although can get crowded it's still amazing and cannot be missed. Get close to huge Icebergs flowing down from the lagoon.

This is such a waste of time unless you just want to have a nice view for lunch or something like that. We preferred to spend our time at the lagoon itself which provided views that were much better than these. All this provides is...More

Diamond Beach is near Jokulsarion in Iceland. The beach has fine black volcanic sand and looks so unusual. Added to this is that icebergs break off the glacier in Jokulsarion and float out into the ocean along Diamond Beach and this makes for the most...More

Honestly, both are nice. And you can visit both, as they are super close to each other. I spent about 30 minutes on the beach and got so many amazing photos. It is just beautiful.
