This is a great local museum concerning the Geira, the roman road that crosses this remote landscape connecting Braga and Astorga in Spain. The architecture of the museum itself is well worth the visit and the museum itself is well organised with a well balanced mixture of technical, historical and local facts. The museum has a number of interactive down-to-scale models that you can coordinate with the provided audio guide.

The price is very reasonable.

the only critic is that it is not always possible to find the item (number) the audio-guide is referring to, hence the 4*.

Note: this museum is connected to another museum concerning Vilarinho das Furnas, the village that was submerged by the local dam, and Geres's fauna, flora and geology. Also well worth the visit and included in the price.
