Henley Beach is easy to get to and like most Adelaide beaches, it's very clean. Henley Square is the place to be in Summer with bands, beach and many places to eat.

The local council and developers have really hit the nail on the head with the magnificent Henley Square, the centrepiece of one of the best metropolitan beaches in Adelaide. The Square is open, inviting, pleasant and offers some wonderful architectural highlights (such as the wave shaped bench seating and the water feature so popular with young children). Plenty of places... More

Henley has everything you could want in a beach so close to the CBD. Lovely cafes and restaurants, some good take away food options if you'd rather sit on the beach and eat, a few bars but not enough to make it feel like a night club, and most importantly the really lovely beach itself. White sand and very little... More

Henley Beach and Henley Square are gaining notoriety because it became the first place in South Australia to be declared a "No Smoking Zone"; this includes all open air and undercover areas. The Henley Square area is a very relaxed area with plenty of boutique coffee shops, and there are great shops undercover within the shopping mall. There is an... More

Henley Beach is a much more quieter beach precinct than it's neighbouring Glenelg. With that in mind there is a bustling food and drink scene located on the Esplanade known as Henley Square. It is a great spot to soak up the rays and people watch during the day. The beach can get busy on hot days but you can... More

This beach is a long, flat stretch. You feel like you can walk for ages. There are a variety of cafes and bars close by. The beach is great for all. A walk down the jetty is a must to inspect the fishermen's' catches.

We visited Glenelg (lovely), then we checked out Brighton (really cool), but when we chanced upon Henley Beach we knew we had found one of the nicest most welcoming beaches within 20 minutes of Adelaide CBD. This place is amazing on a Sunday morning. Dog friendly, child friendly, oldie friendly, kayak friendly, stand up paddle board friendly, bike friendly, jogger... More

This place is beautiful for a swim. Great beach and lots of restaurants and places for drinks - many with shade for those really hot days. Nice pair and grass area for the kids to run around in. Really love this place ! One of the nicest in Adelaide !

Amazing beach, with good infrastructure, restaurants and a few shops. You can reach through the bus from the city, or bus 300 from Arndale Shopping Centre.
