Wow! This experience was above and beyond anything I could have expected. Sally was so welcoming and loved telling us all about her amazing birds. We arrived and met two other couples, while being served coffee and a delicious victoria sponge. Sally talked through her background and experience before walking us around the aviaries to meet each bird in turn, explaining all sorts of facts and expert knowledge. We were then able to handle a beautiful tawny owl and a larger falcon, which was amazing in itself. I was then given the task of walking the falcon to the neighbouring field, where we helped to fly and feed it along with a barn owl. The birds went from our gloves to a post and back, then around the group several times - we got some awesome photos and videos. The whole experience was very relaxed, not rushed at all - highly reccommended!

What a smashing time Glen I have just had with Sally and all her beautiful birds of prey and owls. It was lovely weather and whilst we had coffee and homemade cake Sally talked to us about how she had always had a passion for birds of prey and owls and eventually ended up running West Sussex Falconry. We then met the birds, all so different and characterful, and Sally talked about them with such love and you could tell how contented and well looked after they all were. We were then able to handle the birds, in our case a gorgeous Harris Hawk and Barn Owl, and then went into the neighbouring field where we had the magic experience of them flying to the glove. Wonderful ! We would thoroughly recommend a visit. Many thanks Sally from Sue and Glen M.

Sally and her birds will fill your day with wonder.Loved every single minute of my day.
Sally is devoted to her birds and it shows. Her knowledge of them all is amazing.
We started with coffee and delicious cake, and then went to meet all of her birds.
Lunch then followed in the delightful Tea Rooms close by, paid for with a voucher from Sally.
Then came the flying! What an experience! How hard does an owl land on your glove?
You can't feel it! The Harris's Falcon? Almost the same! And we all experienced this a number of times!
West Sussex Falconry? Very, very highly recommended!

I cannot express adequately how good this experience was. It was fantastic for all ages, bird lovers and those who tagged along to enjoy the bird lovers enjoying themselves. Sally’s warmth and knowledge was amazing. An absolute joyous morning and one which will not be forgotten. Thank you Sally.

This was an amazing morning spent in the company of someone who is truly passionate about keeping birds of prey.
Sally Buckland is an inspirational and knowledgeable custodian of her beautiful collection of birds. The Falconry is set in a lovely village. The area where the birds are kept is a gorgeous setting which is superbly manicured.
I thoroughly recommend this experience with Sally and her birds.

My partner and I had a fabulous morning with Sally and her birds of prey. It was very special to be able to hold the owls, see them up close and later - in flight. Sally is extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a strong bond with the birds. The cake lived up to it's reputation too!! The location was beautiful, in the heart of the countryside. Highly recommended.

A huge than you to Sally for a wonderful half day. The morning started with coffee and homemade cake for the six of us, then Sally introduced us to all her birds and their individual characteristics.
Later we were allowed to hold two birds and stroke them. Finally we walked to a nearby field to fly an owl and a hawk.
In addition we saw wild red kites swooping over the field.

We had a fabulous morning with Sally, her owls and hawks, etc. Sally is very knowledgeable, informative and passionate about her birds. Extremely welcoming, hospitable with tea, coffee and cake on arrival in her beautiful garden. We very much enjoyed carefully handling the birds and flying them in the nearby field. Great experience which I would thoroughly recommend.

Treated my husband for his birthday, along with our son, they thoroughly enjoyed it, Sally was the perfect host and made everyone feel relaxed and welcome, nothing and no one seemed to be a problem, the birds were well looked after and the place was Immaculate, you could definitely tell Sally loves her birds, and was a world of knowledge, the highlight for my husband and son was the handling and flying of the birds, if you are thinking of doing this experience go for it, my husband would definitely like to do it again,

My daughter took me to this wonderful little falconry centre. It far exceeded our expectations. Sally is so knowledgeable about her birds and so passionate about them. They all seem to respond well to her and look very well cared for. It was fabulous to have such beautiful owls and a Harris hawk on our hands and to personally experience them flying onto and off of the glove. Yes, you can go to a larger falconry centre and see more birds but quite honestly both my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience in our little group of 8. So much more personal and hands on. Keep up the good work Sally.
