Great experience, bit expensive. Great instructors. My family and friends loved it there. Would be nice if they offer more packages also, single fly or have a complimentary 15 min fly would be a great especially for small kids. Wouldn't want to spent $70 for a child if kid is afraid of flying.

Wow! This was a ton of fun! My 12 year old and I (both first time flyers) purchased the Spread Your Wings for Two package, for $139. This package includes 2- 60 second flights per person plus downloadable videos of the flight.
The pros- a LOT of fun even for a beginner. Check in was easy. The instructors wanted to ensure our safety AND have fun. The facility is conducive to watching others and instructors fly before it was my groups turn. A well run operation.
The cons- I felt as though I was "nickeled and dimed", particularly since I had already paid $139 Being a first time flyer, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. The original package of 60 seconds for flight IS NOT adequate for a beginner. Because there is a learning curve for flight body position, 60 seconds doesn't allow for someone to grasp it that quickly. After watching others fly, I realized that time was too short so we upgraded to 120 seconds per each flight for each person; this cost an extra $30 per person. Also, at the end of the final flight, you can fly upward with the instructor for an extra $10 per person. This is also a lot of fun but wish that I would have known in advance if this would have been extra. In the end, we paid a lot of money...but since this is something we may never do again, I paid the extra. It would have been nice if these addition up charges were listed on the website so that I was prepared.
Overall, a great experience. If it weren't so expensive I'd definitely do it again.

I recently took my daughter to the IFly Rosemont facility in Chicago. We bought the tickets on sale at Costco but they were still extremely expensive. My daughter had a nice time but she was only able to fly for 2 minutes. And that 2 minutes cost me $50. $40 for the ticket plus tax and $10 more dollars so that she could go higher in the cylinder. Yes $25 per minute or $1,500 per hour! I have been skydiving and even that was not this expensive. In fact, when I think of the most expensive things I have ever done for entertainment, playing golf at Pebble Beach, skydiving, time on a race track, nothing is even close. $1,500 per hour is completely outrageous for this activity. The experience is probably worth a few dollars a minute from a value of entertainment perspective relative to other alternatives available. Even at a few dollars per minute, it is still a lot more expensive than playing golf at Pebble Beach!. Do not waste your money!!!

Unfortunately management's business model and approach to customer service spoils a great idea and fun event. After booking online, you are not adequately warned that if you do not show up at least 1 hour before your scheduled "flight time" they give away your slot. Rescheduling usually means coming back 1-2 WEEKS later. Worse, when you do arrive on time and register they tell you the "highlight" of the activity is to go high in the chamber which costs an extra $10 per person. Nothing worse than a high pressure sales pitch right as you show up to spoil your fun and good mood. Once you get through management's disasterous business model, the activity and guides are great.

I spotted ifly indoor skydiving on the road to O'Hare Airport. We gave it a try. At first we were a bit apprehensive, but our instructor - Joel - was the best. He got us to relax and have a great time. We had about a 60 year age span in our session -- 6 to 65 or so. The experience is tremendous and not frightening. I haven't seen such large smiles from a group in a very long time - it is great to be essentially weightless and soaring. I'd go back every month if I lived in the Chicago area.
One tip is that Garmin is not ready to find ifly -- since it is newly constructed. Some gps list it as des plaines, illinois -- rather than Rosemont.
ifly is located about one mile from O'Hare Airport in a new shopping mall area. Hofbrau Haus is next door. This would be a great experience if you had a long layover at O'Hare airport -- it takes about 2 1/2 hours for your first session -- book a time and arrive one hour before your session.
Fantastic. Thank you to our non-arrogant very helpful instructor.

We celebrated my 40th birthday here and it was a blast. They gave us thorough training and then we were free to float. I upgraded to the high flight and recommend it. It was worth it, making it more experiential. My body was sore the next day. We had Maddie as our instructor and she was a positive force. I would recommend asking for her, yet the entire staff was patient and enthusiastic.

We had a great time. And the instructors were awesome. You get great deals on return flights after your initial flight. There were alot of pro fliers there when we went, they were fun to watch, doing tricks etc.

iFLY Rosemont is pretty difficult to get to if you don't know the area- roads were closed and newly blocked off so we had to go around several ways to finally find the entrance and parking lot via car- we could see it, just could not get to it. Checked in downstairs- used a groupon and then went up for instructions and flight. Had a short class on the procedures and hand signals. The instructor made sure we all understood. We had kids as little as 5 years old up to over 50 years old. We were all suited up and fit for our helmets, earplugs, goggles and flight suits. We were then taken into the "tube" where we waited for turns to fly. It was great! The first one was pretty tame while learning how to balance, move arms and legs, etc, lasted one minute. The second one lasted a minute as well, but I paid an extra 9.95 to "go high." This was well worth it!! I highly suggest trying this out! It is exhilarating!! I would love to continue to fly in this, however, do not have one close to me in our state. I would not hesitate to bring my kids or grandkids to this! Must wear closed shoes! Our instructor Garret was the best!! VERY talented (he did a display of movements and tricks), calm and reassuring!

We were a group of 5 adults.
Not a busy day so everything worked smoothly and. Very quickly.
Everyone had10 min safety briefing together and then kitted out in fly suits to Fly for 2 lots of one minute-in rotation. Total time about 1.5 Hours I think. Time flew by!
It was about 70$ per person.
Think some of us. Had vouchers which made it a bit less.
Good value for a really Fun experience.

We bought our tickets at Costco - and it was a much better deal - and you do make your reservations online.

There are different packages but on the first visit you get 2 one minute flights. It doesn't sound like a long time but it's long enough for the first time. You have the first flight then go out and the instructor talks to you so the second one will be even better. I can't wait to go back.

I wear eye glasses. When I did skydiving from a plane I had to wear and eye mask over my glasses that smashed them on my face and hurt. What kind of mask do I wear for this?

Hi I took my son for his birthday....he does wear glasses but there is a locker area in which to lock up your stuff and they provide goggles to wear. I hope this helps.
