About
Tsiakkas winery is found in Pelendri, in the region of Pitsilia. It’s vineyards are also found in the same region. The dry climate of the region in combination with the unique geology, constitutes basic factors for the production of exceptional wines. The cold winters and the cool summertime are ideal for the production of quality grapes, an essential condition for quality wines. Supported by its tradition, the enthusiasm, the love for the wine and the hard work to acquire the know-how, the winery achieved the production of premium wines, for which the care begins from the vineyard. From the highest vineyards of Agros village, with an altitude of 1500 meters, to Petralona. And from Keramis microclimate to the unique characteristics of Agios Ioannis vineyards, the winery combines the best characteristics of the varieties, producing not only wines but also Commandaria and Zivania, with character and intense personality. Tsiakkas winery, not only gives attention to quality, but also has as priority the distribution and culture of indigenous varieties of vine and production of wines combining the tradition and the modern know-how. From the Cyprus varieties it produces Xynisteri, Bambakada (Maratheftiko) and Yiannoudi. Also Commandaria and red Zivania. From the international varieties, it produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay.

- Anish SChicago, Illinois780 contributionsBeautiful location for wine tasting. On our way from Nicosia to Limassol/Paphos, we wanted to visit a winery and drive through Troodos mountains. Tsiakkas was perfectly placed to allow to us to do with. We took the long route from Nicosia and enjoyed our windy road drive through the mountain. Since we were there in the middle of the week, the winery was empty by the time we got there around 10:30. We were able to sit down quickly, deciding to take a couple of seats outside that were in the sun. That also allowed us to look out at the amazing backdrop. The property is beautiful, situated in the mountain and it would be a shame if you came all this way and didn't grab seats that allow you to look out. We did 2 tastings, which were well explained with each tasting coming with 5 samples. They also give you a spit bucket so you can choose to sip/sample and dump rest of the wine out if you are not interested in finishing. If you are looking for wine tasting with beautiful scenery, this is the top place to visit.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 26, 2023

These guys know how to make wine but they have no idea how to treat guests. I'm a Cypriot, I took my foreign guest to the winery to see what a beautiful area of Cyprus this is. We had enjoyed some bottles of Tsiakkas wine the previous evenings and we were all interested to see the place and the people who make this wine.
The winery itself is very low key, some would say looks somewhat derelict but then again I'm not such a fan of the shiny boutique wineries either.
On arrival we were not really greeted but were given the feeling we were intruding, from there on it just went down hill. The owner got angry with his son and was shouting because we asked if we could meet him. He then stormed off. The son then attempted to take us through a tasting session of about 6 wines, he was rude and snappy. He left in the middle of the tasting without a word and then a young girl turned up to carry on, she was at least friendly. I felt very embarrassed as a Cypriot that me and my guests experienced such poor Cypriot hospitality, or should I say the none existence of it.
We still bought many bottles of wine, this way we won, we get to enjoy good wine and these guys just get to be disliked!

Good afternoon
I read your comment and was surprised to see our first ever score of 1 point and the bad comments about our behavior. We do not recall such an incident.
This is not us and its proven by the the very high scores we get every year from trip advisor as well as other platforms.
It also comes as a surprise that it took you so long to write a bad comment, five months after the alleged incident, since the bad comments are the first to communicated and the good comments may be written or may be skipped.

I had a Tsiakkas Xynisteri in a restaurant in Lemesos and thought: Check them out! Yes, there is more to enjoy than the normal Xynisteri. Friendly staff, good tasting, nice tour around the winery. And a wonderful location up in the mountains.

Tsiakkas Winery in Troodos mountains. 10 out of 10. Beautiful view. Delicious platter with cheese, meats and fruits.
Excellent choice of wines. My favorite would be mouklos red. Should drink colder. 10-12C and of course rose with Rodinos. Bright pink color. Strawberry and cherry notes. Excellent balance. Stunningly refreshing. Exceptional for a hot summer day. Bought many times at local stores and definitely will bering few bottles home. Very friendly personnel and actually take time to tell the story of this beautiful winery. Bravo!

The winery was spectacular to visit. The scenery was amongst the most beautiful here in Cyprus and the wine tasting was superb as well. This is worth a drive from the coast for sure. And you will see an area where some of the very first commercialization of wine happened.

Had a very enjoyable and informative visit to this beautiful family owned vineyard. We wanted to visit as we had been recommended Tsiakkas wine with our meal at a local Limassol restaurant and had enjoyed it very much. Wines are of a high standard and the family takes great pride in the wine production. Look forward to revisiting with friends in the future and to restock!

A great experience in a fantastic environment!! We saw how the wine is made, we tried different red and white wines eating a small “mese” ideally prepared to accompany the wine!! I Had similar experience in North Italy!! We bought some bottles of the fantastic Chardonnay!

Visited after a meal at Symposio. Very impressed with the quality of the wines and the tasting experience, the tasting host was very knowledgeable. Needless to say we bought a selection to take home. 10% discount was useful too!
