This is one of the positive things happening in downtown Rockford, however, it gets only an average because getting there and parking are usually a pain. Food is good but very pricey and slow, typically hot because there’s not really a breeze due to how the area is laid out and much more crafter and food market than farmers market. I will go a couple times a season but that’s as much as I can tolerate.

A great place to spend an afternoon in downtown Rockford. There are plenty of local vendors, and its perfectly located on the river.

This market has free admission! A fun place to spend a couple of hours on a Friday evening. They have great food booths including Woodfire Pizza from Woodfire Brick Oven Restaurant that is really good! You can walk around and get a drink and food and enjoy all the little booths or tents where people are selling everything from food to jewelry! You never know what you may find. Every week they have a different group or person singing and playing music. The market is close to the river walk so take a walk along the river before or after. We have never had a problem finding parking within a few blocks of the market. It's also a great place to see friends that you have not seen awhile. Just a great place to enjoy a Friday evening out!

We went to it last friday. It was very popular. It is used as a hang out for the twenty to thirty year old group. They had a lot of vendors. We liked the farms selling yummy corn the best. Too crowd for us. We will go back for the sweet corn again.
