What people are saying
when school got out this summer I looked up a few places to take the grandchildren that would be inexpensive.
Jul 2019
I seen the deal on Wednesdays and thought that would be great deal so I took my 2 grandchildren and they enjoyed themselves. My daughter met us there so I paid for her as well so in total 4 people. I told my grandson we would go back but I was scheduled a little earlier on that day to go to work so we were only there about an hour. I didn't play all my nickels. I took my 2 grandsons back the next week and same thing we were only going to be able to stay for an hour. Well I went to pay the 2 boys and myself, I realized I still had the roll of nickels. I had $10 bill and nickels they refused to take the nickels as cash to get in. I was like ? it's cash. They proceeded to tell me I could not pay with the same nickels I left with the week before...? now remind you that is $2.I could have went to Walgreens and changed it for dollars. The employee then called me a cheapskate and told me they didn't want my money and the owner got in my face and said I could just stand and watch my grandchildren who were already playing. Now I was really mad at first then I thought about it at what ignorance this was because I only have one hour on Wednesdays for them to play and they are the ones who lost out on my $4 and returning customers. I have 10 grandchildren and now I will not be going back and that's a shame. I started thinking their way of treating people and their way of thinking was that I was out to scam them when in fact I was just trying to let my grandchildren have fun. It is very sad that people behave this way the owner made a comment that this was all over $2 ...? yea on their end. I would have spent much more in there over the year.....too bad

We traveled an hour to have some fun at Nickelworld. All the classics like donkey kong are FREE along the back wall. The adults get to relive their childhood for free while the kids play with nickels. Great cheap fun for the family. I spent 20 dollars total on a family of 4 and we were there for 2 hours. My kids hit a bunch of jackpots to win prizes with. The kids absolutely loved it and keep talking about how they want to go back now. I see many more visits to the wonderful world of nickels in our future. Highly recommend for cheap family fun.

I brought my grandchildren here for the first time today. A little small but fun. They even had some video games that were free. The kids had fun and didn't cost a fortune. The people that work there are very nice also. I would go back.

My friends and I had a blast. There were so many games to play that we all had something to do and something we enjoyed. There were even games from when we were teenagers taht were free to play, and one we could all play together. Some of the game were not working, but that was maybe 3 or 4 of all of the games in the place. The not working machines were clearly marked and gave a reason for the out of order game. The staff, of one, was very helpful and polite. My friends and I will be back.

The concept sounds nice.. A nickel a game... Adds up very quickly. Machines are not all in working order, and there are not any signs up on the broken ones. I spent about 15 nickels on broken machines. Usually busy with unruly children AND adults.

My son wanted to go here for his birthday. We went on a Saturday and it was a little busy, but still enough to do for everyone. They offer a party room, but we opted not to rent it. The games are mostly a nickel to 3 nickels. Some of the games are completely free (old school games, Pac-man etc.) They do charge a small admission fee of around $2 per person. Everyone pays that enters the game floor. Some of the games dispense tickets, which you can redeem for small prizes. They 're a clean facility, even the restrooms weren't bad! It isn't updated, and the parking lot is small. We would definitely go here again. We were there for over 2 hours with a party of 8, and spent $60 on nickels and under $20 on admission. Everyone had a great time and wants to visit again.
