We just got done with my son's second grade field trip here. The guides were super informational, let the kids even feel and sniff the plants. They were able to feed the fishes, they got to plant their very own mini palm trees to take home and made paper Venus fly traps after learning about them! The kids loved it... More

The gardens are so beautiful! It makes you feel like you're on vacation. The children's gardens offers hours of safe and fun things to enjoy with your children. It is also a romantic stroll for couples. I always leave feeling refreshed. There is also local artwork displays to enjoy and a gift shop

I had no idea this pretty place existed so close to my home. The indoor garden would be great at any time of year. Everything is labeled well and includes interesting information about many of the plants. I loved the banana trees. There is a waterfall and ponds full of koi. I suggest buying some of the fish food at... More

Love stopping and photographing botanical gardens wherever we go. This one was no exception. Beautiful plants and a fun garden train set up. They also have some outdoor gardens, we were lucky to have a warmer day in December and can't wait to go back in warmer weather to explore the outdoor gardens more! Great activities all year for young... More

I have been here three times now - once for meetings, once for a wedding, and once for a funeral luncheon just yesterday . The facilities are great for these things, anf the food is really pretty good. Standard buffet type things, but hot, fresh, and tasty. The gardens themselves are small and not terribly fascinating. One quick two minute... More

While on our visit to Rock Island we also visited this Botanical Center. There are many types of plants and trees. There was even a wedding the day my wife and I visited.

There is a small gift shop as you walk in and an information desk that will show you a map of the layout.. inside are banana trees, tropical ferns and plants, and a waterfall and ponds with Koi. Then you step outside into the gardens. Continuing around back is the kids gardens with a splash pond they can play in... More
