We stopped here to show our son where my father was stationed when he met my mother. We actually went on the same type plane my father was the navigator on and the gentleman was very knowledgeable in explaining what his duties would have been.

This Museum has closed permanently when the city had to close the building due to structural problems. All aircraft have been removed to other cities and the museum is no longer in operation.

JMJ As far as I know this great, but in need of a lot of work, museum is closed to the public. Was in Rantoul this week-end and all the signs are either down or washed out.

Closed.. Few planes outside in back. Over grown SAD. Another military base that was closed. Most of the building and in bad shape and in need of repair. Airport was turned over the the city. Lack of funds have kept the museum closed.

It was a great place to visit with children, the murals and so much to see including the ability to go inside the huge airplanes.
