It's not a large zoo by any stretch, but the variety of animals is good and you get up-close and personal with the lions and tigers (no bears...). The raised overlook for the lions is particularly good for photo ops. Got some great shots there....More

Went to the Zoo to spend some time with my family before another event. The zoo was ok, and kept both a 5 year old and a 16 year old entertained. It wasn't crowded so we were able to take out time watching the animals....More

This zoo is a comfortably sized zoo for families with small children, or for anyone looking for a few hours of fun. The zoo has a big feel to it due to the number of large animals on exhibit (tigers, lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras); however...More

Went to zoo for the first time since childhood. Giraffe enclosure was very nice., as where the zebras. Good place to take children. As is often the case it was smaller than expected.

I visited the zoo with my wife and our kids. I remember when I was a kid in high school in the late 80s and how bad the zoo was back then. The lions and tigers were in concrete rooms with a concrete bench to...More

Sorry, didn't see wheelchairs. Check out Goodwill and Salvation Army to see if they have any for sale to use while in Peoria. It's cheaper than renting, and then you can donate it back when you leave for the next person... More
