A different weekend
Aug 2018 • Couples
You must go if...
- have a car and want to drive a couple of hours from BA
- want to enjoy tastings of regional products
- want to see typical farms
- want to escape from the frenzy of the city

Anyway, you can visit the different establishments on your own but you must coordinate the visiting hours and pay the entrance fee in each of them (Ibut if you do the Ruta del Queso, the amount you pay is less than the individual amounts of each ticket).
Personally, I selected the option that includes lunch. BEWARE!!! don't choose it if you're a vegetaria, because La Ruta del Queso is not ONLY cheese, also includes
- a wild boar breeding ground
- a blueberry plantation
Obviously, you can buy the products that they make there, at very good prices (in some places, with a 20% discount for cash payment), but if you spend the night there, you should avoid soft cheeses that require a refrigerator (like roquefort).
Ah! I forgot to mention that the tour is only in Spanish, but you spend the day eating delicatessen

How to 'do' Ruta del Queso
Oct 2017 • Family
We were a group of 8 adults and 15 children or varying ages. As you can imagine, we had many questions pre visit......

We came across the guided visits from Ruta del Queso via the website and immediately signed up for a guided visit. All of our questions were answered with detail and we finally did a half day visit starting in Cabanas Pedras Blanca and ending up at La Escuadra

Our day started at the starting point of Ruta Del Queso just by the entrance to the town of Suipacha. Look out for the yellow building with the cows outside. There is a small talk (which we missed half of, because we couldn't get all 15 children into the cars on time- our fault !!)

The guide collected our group, briefly told us what we had missed, and set us off on our way. We were taken to our first stop off in a caravan of cars. The day went on from there.

Throughout the day, the pick ups and drops offs were very clear. with verbal instructions throughout. We were finally dropped off at the boar farm for our dinner.

Ruta del Queso run a VERY professional business. There are various options for the tours, it just depends what you want for your group.

We all enjoyed the day and would highly recommend organising any visit to taste cheese with this tour guide

All the kids loved it, and that made all of the parents very happy
