About
Rader Family Farms is a fourth generation working farm located in Bloomington - Normal, Illinois. We open a portion of the farm to the public in the fall, giving people the opportunity to spend a day outside and get a feel for agricultural life. Tons of outdoor activities like hayrack rides, a jumping pillow, apple cannons, acres of u-pick and fresh picked pumpkins, fresh made food, specialty coffees and drinks, live animals and so much more to help you make memories, just on the edge of Normal.

Weekdays are the time to go! Lots of great outdoor play.
Sep 2019 • Family
2 yr olds and under are always free but all ages above are regularly $8. This year and last, Wednesday’s have been half price admission. I’ve heard that weekends are overwhelmingly busy, so I avoid them. But they do have one of the best outdoor kid play areas in Central Illinois! Our kids love the giant corn bins, Barrel train, and water pump duck races. Pro tip: buy your kids the pumpkin apple cider cup once and bring it back for cheaper refils👍🏼

Great place but need decent bathrooms!
Oct 2019 • Family
This place was a fun place to go to as we went with our granddaughter on a field trip. We enjoyed all the fun things to do and the planned education was interesting. However, all of the out houses were disgusting. I went from one to the next to see if any were decent, They seemed like they all needed emptied! I hated having my granddaughter use them and when she saw Watt was there she said they were too gross to use. I believe these people make a decent amount of income from this attraction. They need to build some decent bathrooms. They only had one flush toilet and said we were not allowed to use it because it was for the handicapped.

Disappointing this year.
Oct 2019
Been going there for about 7 years. This year they took out the "Kiddie" corn maze in order to build a new barn. My children always spent 20-30 minutes in the Kiddie maze which was included as part of general admission. Now it is part of the larger maze that costs extra. We had an OK time this year but were disappointed that this feature was removed from general admission. We will have to think about whether or not we will return next year. It you've never been before, its really designed more for younger children.

Lots of Activities for Kids
Oct 2019 • Family
We have visited the Rader farm a couple of times over the last few years. Lots of activities for kids and plenty of pumpkin donuts and apple cider. The apple blaster is fun for all ages. Here is the deal. If you have kids and pay the $12 per person there is a lot to do in the activity section. You can also pay to go through the corn maze or shot the apple canon. Other wise you can buy a pumpkin or go through the gift shop. So I rated Rader Farms a 4 because of the price to fun ratio.

This is such a great place for a family fun day. All kinds of activities for the kids, and a ton of farm fresh items for the adults (and the kids) to enjoy. Great staff. Great activities. Get on out.

Overpriced and mean
Oct 2018 • Family
What can be said that hasn't already been said in the other negative reviews. There is a lot of nice things to do but it's very expensive and some of the staff have attitudes.

The place to go with kids in the fall
Oct 2018 • Friends
This is the place to go for pumpkins and fall fun. But expect crowds. There is parking all over a field, and wagons you can grab to haul your pumpkins to the cashier. Inside the building there are pumpkin treats to eat and all sorts of goodies to buy to take home, and outside there are hay bales and things for the kids to do.

Our family loves Rader Family Farm! My grandchildren come all the way from Mississippi to visit Rader's farm. It is clean and safe. The workers are very friendly. It is a wonderful experience.

Great fall attraction for families!
Aug 2017 • Family
I always try to support locally owned and operated, unique businesses and the Rader Family has done an outstanding job of developing and continually adding onto this great fall family attraction! From an abundance of kid based fun to delicious food offerings to unique shopping to seasonal produce and flowers--Rader's has something for everyone! It is clean, well laid-out, staffed by friendly people (many are family), and continually striving to add to the featured activities. Great job to this good family!
