Went on a excursion of a lifetime. Ronni was the nicest, well versed guide that totally made the trip. I have never seen so much beauty in landscape. He took us places that were away from crowds and was very open to suggestions. I highly recommend this vacation with him.

I've taken two tours with Ronni and both have been top notch. If you are looking for more than the typical Iceland tour then I would definately hire him. Ronni knows all the hidden gems of iceland and always went above and beyond to help accomodate the best light and the best photography. He is an outstanding guide and photographer and knows Iceland very well. He is one of the best Aurora photographers in Iceland and he can teach you how to get the best shot. Highly recommended!

I used Runolfur several years ago for a private photography tour. We ended up adding two women from Poland and it was so much fun. Much more fun to have a couple of other people along. Runolfur was terrific. He took us to many different places and provided lots of history and other tidbits about the area and about Iceland. He was also very helpful when due to bad weather the next leg of our trip needed to be canceled (the part without him). He helped me make phone calls when there were language issues and we then stayed with him for another couple of days. He also worked hard in tracking the possibility of northern lights and trying to find clear skies. The skies finally cleared on the last night when he was dropping us off back at our hotel in Reykjavik. He went out of his way to drive us out of the city to dark skies and a nice setting. It was so much fun. When considering a guided tour think about if you want to be on a bus with many other people and on a rigid schedule or be on a tour where you are on your schedule. A few times when we were at a glacier or a waterfall, big buses pulled up crammed with people. It was nice that we could stay as long as we wanted at spots. The benefit of a small tour was also apparent the night we saw northern lights. We were in an area with maybe one other car. When we were leaving we rounded a corner and there was buses and buses of people. If we ever are lucky enough to go back to Iceland and want to do another tour, Ronni will be the only one I'll call.
